Good stuff! I made my self a sub box for my mega cab and it fits perfectly! So you will love it!

Nice video @everything diesel. I started with my subwoofer and still have the infinity speakers. Lol. Just waiting for them to blow to replace them next. Not sure what box you going with for subwoofers, but I went with a company called probox which comes with loaded subwoofers. They hit for 2- 10. And have had them for about 8 years and still banging. Pushing it with an old Rockford amp bd1000.

Ok I just did mine I kinda had to rig it with the cover I had to put it on from behind instead of the front and it is holding it good.

Did you not have to get some sort of spacer or something for the back doors? My new 4.25s are waaaay smaller than the holes. The originals had some sort of adapter on them

Off Amazon just type your year make model and speaker adapter and they will pop up. Or look up the part number from the video

Just get a plastic wedge tool and it pops off. just take your time and start from one side and work your way over.

Did you need to get the iDatalink Meastro for your head unit or no? I have a 3rd gen Ram and don't have steering wheel radio controls and it also as you know the stock radio, mine anyways does nothing else lol. It didn't have Nav, Not even tire air pressure gauges. Just curious as I'm thinking I don't need it but crutchfield guy said I did .

How did you get those 5.25” speakers in the rear doors? The after market ones I bought are too small.

Yo do I need an amp when installing new door speakers?

Do you like having tweeters in your front doors now? I put jbl in my truck ( same truck) bypassed factory amp and everything have 2 10 inch subs but my fronts are now 6.5s no tweeters on them they came with components to go in the dash corners replacing the 3.5s in the dash . I’m not happy with my set up because vocals sound so low! I’m thinking of putting 2 ways 6.5 in the fronts which means the tweeters are built in the doing 3.5 jbls in the dash corners so then my truck would have 2 way 6.5s matching front and rear doors and same size and style in the dash corners which are 3.5s just like yours . Hoping that would bring vocals back. When I put the new deck and subs in and bypassed factory amp and left the speakers in the truck which are stock infinity it actually sounded great! But the front infinity’s were in bad shape (6x9s) so I “ upgraded” and I lost that vocal I think because the new fronts are smaller and are just cones like the factory ones were and pulled the 3.5s and put tiny components in their place I lost vocals. So my question is should I pull my new front jbl 601cf component system out and match the fronts to the rear jbl 621f s then upgrade the dash to jbl 322f which is basically just like your set up except the front will no longer be 6x9s . If I put 6x9 back in from jbl they are 3 ways which adds essentially 4 more tweeters to the truck than originally before 2 of which are super tweeters. Which maybe way to bright.

Still have the factory amp? I thought the front speakers on the infinity system only put out bass frequencies. I’m looking to upgrade to a touchscreen head unit and some new speakers without getting an aftermarket amp. Everything work?

nice video... I was reading that the front doors with the infinity sound system only delivers base to the front doors through the factory amp. Have you noticed an issue with that while using coaxial speakers?

@@homless68its from the infinity amp....i just put a new system in my truck.. we bypassed the amp so i have coaxial in every speaker now. also the 2.5 speaker in the dash is taken out when you bypass the amp. my amp had a channel out. it was my front left door. when you install a new head, you dont need the amp. my truck sounds better than ever now.. not a lot of base but i will install a sub later under my rear seats.

They came in pairs.

I'm conflicted between quick easy coaxial speakers in the doors or doing pods in the front door with and 8 ,4, and 3.5 and a 6.5 in the rear doors ran off an Orion 4 channel . I have 2 12 dc sounds lvl 4 going under my back seat off an Orion xtr 2500.1 . I wanted to build a box to replace the rear seats for 15s but too many other projects so no time and I'm not paying $2500 for someone to build it . Reality is I've ran the stock factory crap for 10 years and it's not even the infinity so anything will sound better. I should have done this year's ago since stock is junk

These speakers will do it man! I believe the speaker sizes for your model are 5.25 or 6.5 I use to have a 04 Yukon with same interior

You don’t need to take the window and lock controls off.. just take the screws out and disconnect the connections

So im looking at doing the same thing. It said on the forums that the Infinity amp has a crossover that blocks highs in the doors..were you able to get any frequencies for the tweeters through the door speakers or is it just coming from the dash?

Nice!!! I'm going backwards from you in my 3rd gen I have 2 soundqubed 8s under my back seat (non mega cab) on a 1500w amp. I want to do mids and highs next :)... I use a raspberry pi for my head unit along with a 9band eq.

Did you replace your window controller with a Chinese one because your window lock button broke? I have that issue with mine. I can only roll down the windows from the drivers seat.

Yes sir!

Just be careful changing the speakers in the dash. The plastic is very brittle and will break easily.

If you happen to see this I’d love a reply. Did you bypass the factory amp in your truck? If not then how did you get the front door speakers to play mids/highs. They are supposed to be locked to lows through the amp.

I didnt bypass the factory amp, i used the factory amp with my new radio. That is the only way to get power to the speakers unless u rewire all the speaker bypassing the amp. When u install a new head unit just use the blue amp wire from the adapter harness and connect to the amp signal wire on the radio,
