    I’ve been building high power batteries for all sorts. I’m located in Dunedin. KISS is my business. Love to see more of these kits! I’ve been punishing mine with the 5kW:)

    Hey mate Awesome! Yeah if you can build the batteries you can make some wicked stuff. I see you use 21700 cells. WOW that’s a lot of power. That would haul arse!!! I have my little Stealth motor is tuned down to comply, and not to overheat. Thanks for watching. 😁🤙

    Sweet! Thnks for sharing. Yeah I used to have bafang bottled on a Marin. Took throttle off

    No worries mate. Oh true. How did the Bafang go? What are you riding now?

    @@EMTBNZ went to second hand Kona e160DL (shimano) gotta love the lower budget kick ass ebikes still tho. Been eyeing up possibly cyc on my hardtail. Found the bafang hung too low for my lack of talent! Such good torque tho.

    Yeah nice man. They look like sweet bikes! Yeah that’s what I thought when I saw the bafang motor installed on other bikes. Hung down like dog balls. I get much better clearance with my CYC x1 stealth. Eventually I’ll move into a factory Emtb when I can afford one.

    What size frame is this and would it fit a standard non-custom battery? If so which one? Thanks!

    This build was a Scott Genius size XL frame. You can buy pre-built batteries. Just have to measure 📐 if it can fit inside the frame. Hope that helps? Cheers

    Cool build! Do you think it would be possible to squeeze the motor into the front triangle next to the shock? Seen some builds that manage to get away with that for better bb clearance

  • @EMTBNZ

    @EMTBNZ

    Hi, thanks for that, yes it is possible to but not on this frame. There are some frames that work really well with there rear shock up higher and horizontal. You also want to think about where you are mounting the battery. My build is similar and don’t really have clearance issues on bb. Cheers for watching. 😁👍

    @@EMTBNZ Ahh gotcha, the downwards shocks would make that too awkward 😅. Was eyeing up some commencal bikes with the horizontal shock for exactly that purpose. Think it would look really neat to tuck it away in the frame.

    @@Zestybwoi Yeah cool man, that would be cool and neat inside the frame. You will maybe have to run a smaller battery to fit into the frame. I have seen it done though. On Facebook I follow “CYC Owners Group” and there heaps of different builds on there you could check out. 😁🤙

    Hi how is the noise from the stealth motor, was thinking of fitting the photon to my trek remedy, but now I'm considering the stealth. what do you think would work best.

    Hey mate. That would be a sweet build! I have the Gen 1 Stealth with the x6 controller. Don’t know if the Gen 3 has got quieter? But at low watts the noise is minimal but if you have the watts set high it does get louder, but people do get out of the way when they hear you coming 😅. Not sure about the photon. But they are much quieter apparently. Some of my videos have me pedaling it parts and you can definitely hear it.

    So I guess it’s different to a e bike it has a throttle so you don’t have to pedal it. Is that correct Tom

  • @EMTBNZ

    @EMTBNZ

    Yeah man, it does come with a throttle but it is pedal assist. We just use pedal assist when riding and that makes it like other e-bikes. I deactivated my one. I Was thinking of taking it right off all together.

    This bike is pedal assist. Yes that one has a throttle. But is deactivated so that you just use pedal assist. This is not my bike in this video btw. But appreciate the feedback/constructive criticism.
