Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, we show you how to install engineered hardwood and explain the pros and cons of the various flooring options. We are one step closer to completing this family room renovation and have lots more projects and content coming your way so stay tuned!

    Nice video. Love how the room ultimately turned out and commented on it on your other video. You guys have similar tastes to mine, and I would have chosen the 2x3 windows as well. I don't see any info on the sliders but would really love some if you don't mind. Glad you made the videos. They are encouraging me to get going on mine.

    I think going with engineered hardwood also provide more durability for higher traffic area. In my house, we have a combination of real hardwood floor and LVP which we had installed in our kitchen and master bathroom. We wanted something softer on our feet as well as quick clean up in the kitchen. It made sense for us to go with LVP. The main key is complimentary design, and I think you both nailed it.

    That turned out great! Man you guys make it look easy! May I ask why you used an underlay when laying planks in the cutaway clip and not this time? Would love to know for when I tackle this in future. Can't wait for the next one!

    Hi, Very nice video. I have a question about durability? I installed exactly same floor yesterday, we put a sofa on it and it scratched very easily. How is your floor looking after some time of using?

    I am mad about this man's legs, he has the best legs ever, thick hairy legs. Great job btw, the floor looks fantastic.

    Hi guys, New to your channel. How are the floors holding up? I'm in the process of going to get the same floor. Just wanted to know if that will be a good purchase for our flooring.

    1/4 to 1/2" gap along the walls, how close to you get to the sliding doors on the final row? Thanks!

  • @GoldenKeyDesign

    @GoldenKeyDesign

    Same thing - 1/4” to 1/2”. We have a molding piece that came with the doors that will be installed on top of the flooring to cover the gap (similar to a baseboard). Usually the specific flooring you buy will tell you the gap to use but as long as it’s less than the thickness of your baseboard, you’re good!

    I can’t stand the cheap click lock crap. Any imperfection in the floor makes it such a pain to install. So much easier to just slide pieces together and staple/nail down.

  • @GoldenKeyDesign

    I agree it can be a pain but it often comes with a lower price tag too. Also certain click and lock systems are very high quality
