Nice example of Chris' ingenuity in that small time-lapse bit; Grabbing ashes and moving them on his way back to grab clay, and also reversing to stop the ash cloud blowing in to his face.

How about an update on that real large pond with island. The idea was that the owner was going to fill it with an irrigation pump. Is it trapping any rainwater.

There is a drain system from the house that captures any excess water and feeds it into the pond besides any that falls naturally. That was quite the construction project.

@@philhammond5908 Not talking about about the Bealy Good pond. Heck fire, that pond was filling up even before the dam was finished. I'm talking about the next big pond. It was a long circular dam with a large building up by the headwater. My concern was that even after a couple of weeks, that big pond was hardly wet at all in the bottom.

Looking better every day Chris. That's what you call a farmer that lost his topsoil and was trying to farm rock. Not much topsoil to work with like at the Bealy good homestead. Hard to believe that a few minutes down the road at your farm you had lots of topsoil. Great video Chris.

I have an average of 5 ft deep black top soil. 2 miles away, across I-35, they have limestone and crappy yellow clay. No topsoil. The freeway is just about a dividing line of this for over 50 miles. Good land one side, garbage the other.

You my friend are like a surgeon with that flat blade digging those culverts, I was suprized no stone was needed, I guess that red clay is all you need when you have it avalible. The grading and leveling that hill on the lot looks great, I can`t wait to see the house go up and all the final grading to see how well the culvert works, it seems it`s right on the money to carry all the water flow right down the hill, well done sir.

Do you ever think you could use a single or double axle dump truck to move these small amounts of dirt versus running the loader these distances? It could be a very inexpensive used truck or is it too much hassle for the gain? And I agree with a lot of comments that you are a very smoooth equipment operator, enjoy watching every episode.
