İmo,it’s good to apply ppf because it protects the paint also when u want to remove the ppf it looks like you bought a new car.

I give people who do this for a living credit and much respect 🙏🏻🙏🏻 to tedious for me !!! Don't have the patience. This line of work is great for someone who is a perfectionist

I wish I had the patience for this! I just paid a few extra thousand to have professionals do mine with free touch ups and lifetime warranty, as well as a ceramic coating.

watching this gave me so much confidence, i might just buy a hood one for my S! one thing i didn't understand was what do you do with the leftover film around the hood? you mentioned it it dry out, do we need to cut it off or tuck it in?

@@THExKINGxKINGx I shopped around a lot but eventually went with guys that were a little more expensive but did much much better quality work. You can get everything as low as 4-5k, but I ended up getting full body PPF with edges tucked in etc, ceramic tint all around, and graphene/ceramic coating on the entire interior and exterior with 10yr warranty and annual check ups for 6k. It's really a place that charges more, I just got good with the owner. Good luck sir, but be ready to have about 6k give or take on hand. In the end I saved $8500 by going with this color and I would have PPF/tinted/ceramic coated regardless so I still saved about $2500 over picking a paid color. I could have changed it to any ppf color I liked and still saved money.

I figured I just saved $8500 so why not and also, PPF/tint/ceramic coating isn't something anyone should do if on a budget imo. I see people getting all outraged at people spending money on PPF while they buy Pokemon everything for their car with weird gaming lights everywhere and that's totally fine I guess lol 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@OaklandTae Oh no I’m going with the best option but it still wouldn’t be anything close to 6k lol I had a friend who got wrap and install for less than 3k at the 3rd best shop in the city and it came out perfect. I spent almost a grand on my tint and I’m buying the wrap honestly just because I like the looks and clearly that’s a couple grand for something unnecessary. I don’t even care about the protection I would have done it without it honestly. So yeah I’m the last person on a budget but at the same time I’m not letting anyone take me to town lol

Please make one door without pre-cut film. I would love to see how to deal with stuff like door-handles.

Do you need to remove the spoiler and Tesla at the back when you install the back panel?

did you have to debadge the rear to? how hard to do if so?

Is matte PPF film harder to maintain on a car? Does the car still look good even if it isn't washed frequently?

Exactly what I want to do. I paid $8,000 to have someone do my 2022 M4, but, I ordered a kit for my 21 Accord, from Drive Protected, unfortunately, I got lazy and let it sit, as miles piled up, on my Accord and it got too damaged in the front, to wrap anymore. But, I’m looking at getting rid of both cars, and get a gray model 3 Performance, just to do a stealth PPF. I kind of want ultra red, but, I don’t think it will look as good as stealth gray wrapped in Stealth PPF, so, I may go that route. I don’t qualify for the tax credit, so, that’s not a factor.

@@THExKINGxKINGx nothing at all wrong with it. I ordered it as soon as the 22 xDrive could be ordered. I specd every option, including CCBs and M Drivers Package. The car was $110k in 2021 money, about $118k, in 2024 money. I have 17k miles on it, in 33 months. I’m on new car 31. It’s just time for me to move on. The car is great. Just make sure you order everything you want. Mine is Dravit Gray, I kind of rushed on it. It’s amazing, but, I’d also probably be keeping it no matter what, if I ordered it in Fashion Gray.

@@g.dubyou6263 So if it was the right color you’d keep it. I might pick one up in a year or two as my weekend car. Actually looking for a dravit gray, Fiona red interior, with bucket seats. Fully loaded but without the driving assistance package and no CCB. Couldn’t find it so I just decided to replace my daily with the best daily out there. May pick up the m3 or the lotus for the weekend.

@@THExKINGxKINGx I told myself, years ago, if I ever order an M3 (or m4) I’d order everything and I’d order it in Fashion Gray. Well, after the car was over $100k, it just started getting ridiculous in my head, cost wise. So, I opted not to make it $4,500 worse, and do an individual color. Well, I switched my paint color like 3 times and finally decided on Dravit. Which is amazing, but it wasn’t Fashion Gray to me. Not thinking about it, Dravit was $1,950 for a paint option at the time. I’m more mad at myself for not realizing I was switching to Dravit spending $1,950 anyway, and not spending the other $2,500 to just get a full individual color. Dravit is amazing, for sure. It’s always a head turner, I just promised myself if order Fashion, and I didn’t.

Why keep for only 2 years? Car is awesome
