Not sure if anyone has told you before but you should tie your hair back when running any power tools, saws, drills, etc.

And remove all jewelry, especially necklaces. Freak accidents happen. Back in the 70s, a coworker was electrocuted when his necklace medallion slipped into a slot in his drill. He did survive yet was never the same.

I am living full time in my van in the Wyoming winter. I installed this system in my van, and could not imagine living full time without it. Love my system. It’s been a warm winter, but the coldest temps so far have been between 0-10 degF.

Did you have to sign an NDA??
For quick insulation you can hang cargo blankets along walls in a van and they are cheap at harbor freight. I have several of those 72x80" price $12-15 depending on sale to full price, also the double length which is 144 x 80 is about $18-20 each. So for $80 you can put on floor, sides, and find a way to put on ceiling, and that covers most of the back inside area of a van. For ceiling cut some wood strips that will reach from both walls and also bend upward arch and use that to cover ceiling with the blanket. They are quite warm if you sleep with one over you in bed too, or roll up in it.
This is fascinating and I’m excited for part 2. Also glad you shifted to a hotel until this is completed. Have a fabulous day and stay warm Tory 😃
I don't know how to change a lightbulb, but I am still watching DIY videos.
Girl i was in the same position 2yrs ago when i built my van, wishing you the best! You so got this fr! When you get your back off the floor will really help , it lets your body have total ventilation and was my game changer. Stay strong and warm!
The best heating solutions that I have ever seen! Many months ago I thought of a similar DIY, a scaled-down version, for my Dodge Grand Caravan retirement lifestyle.
I’m so excited for you! I’m glad you’ve found a way to stay warm in the winter! Can’t wait to see the rest of the build 😊❤
Awesome job on the heated floor system 💯💯💯 can't wait for part 2

Thanks so much Jason!! 🎉🎉
I love it! What an incredible idea to install this in your van. You will not regret this I am sure and it will keep you toasty warm when sleeping. Amazing videos and I enjoy them so much and I am not a van life person but I feel like I can enjoy it through your videos. Keep up the great work!
Nice video! Thanks for the thoughtful and thorough step by step. Looking forward to the rest of your build!
So exciting things are happening. Waiting on the cubic grizzly myself. The energy that comes along with these builds are incomparable. Love it. Cheers
Heating of 23,000 BTU is equal to 6700W. If it is a heat pump (air conditioner) the heat provided is about 3x the input power, thus about 2300W power in, presumably from gas or fuel. It cycles on and off to reach a target temperature, so the average power used could be much lower.
Who says you can't have all the feature comforts, specially one that will literally save your life and keep you very comfortable, important purchase and one for the win. Tory thanks for sharing Happy Holidays and as always be safe.
Awesome. Can't wait for you to be warm and get well soon!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! And me too! LOL 😅😅
Hello Tory, I am so blown away by your strength and courage let alone the willingness to put in the hard work, I commend you on taking up the offer of radiant flooring, please approach your electrical installation with the same insight knowing your safety depends on it, the new goal zero 4000 PRO adding Yeti Link Vehicle Integration Kit, pulls power from your vehicle’s alternator while the vehicle is running and stops pulling power when the vehicle is off. So many electrical systems are installed by so-called professionals only to fail, it costs the same after it’s all said and done, so please trust your original gut feeling when you started your last build. God Bless, Stay Safe.
Looks way cool! I mean, uh, warm. Loved seeing the hidden B-Man symbol, btw. Was wondering about your original floor after the last vid. This looks like it’ll be a amazing upgrade. So looking forward to part 2. And Merry Christmas!
I’ve done HVAC for 30 years. People think a small space would be easy to heat and little understanding of how it works. I live in the SE and don’t live full time in my van, but I don’t understand why hydronic systems aren’t more popular. I get it’s expensive, but there is no price you can put on comfort and I believe the pain of big expenses fades faster than the joy you’ll experience for years to come.

You could heat a 3000 square ft house with hydronic heat for what this costs.
It is those eyes… Fellow van lifer with eyes like that that does her own work… remarkable.
I installed a Warmboard system in my new house. It's similar but uses a stamped aluminum sheet on the top layer to spread the heat around. Love hydronic floor heating.
1. great camera catch 2. thanks for reminding me of my dad, trust me, how you hold your tongue really matters to the outcome. merry Christmas 🎅🎄
*SUBSCRIBED!* Fantastic information! And seeing you lay the flooring yourself really drives home the point that somethings *can* be DIY-ed and it shouldn't be intimidating. Thanks so much for sharing!
Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year, however, wherever and with whoever you're celebrating.

This is very cool. Amazing how they pre fabricated all these pieces.
Hello Miss Tory i just sub to your channel 😊 as a 60 plus women you are so impressive and explain things so completely i have been looking into getting ready to start a van build God Bless you girl stay safe and warm 😊
Hi Tory. great vid! You make it interesting and fun doing these jobs. You are such an amazing person imo
Oh, When cutting with a compound miter saw, start the cut on the outside and push inward! For any power tool the cut direction must always be the opposite direction the saw blade wants to run.
the system looks perfect. we need to see you trying it in freezing temperature
That is a pretty cool sounding system!
Omg tori. Blockbuster should pay you for visiting there. That's awesome 😂😂
Hey, i've only just found you! I've watched so many Van build videos in the last 3ish years, but never have I come across any so clever and artistically edited as yours are. Not only do you take a look at the whole thing from a slightly different angle, you also present them with your special kind of humour, while still remaining serious. If that is how you tackle life in general, then you're going far. Well done Tory. Oh, and to top it all, you have a new Subscriber, and not just because you're a beautiful woman, that's just the cherry on the cake.... real eye candy so to speak. No, because you are a breath of fresh air, in the way you are approaching this task. Good luck with the build, looking forward to the finished article and your 1st Van-tour.., but that's for another day. Take care, greets from Steve in snowed up Switzerland. I'm off now to watch this whole series thru, till i'm up to date, bye.
TD, Happy to see the DMC (Delorian) on the dash of your Ram and the goat bleeting, hahaha.
Love the Loki references 👍🏻
Can't wait for part 2 to come out couldn't find it as of today

Hey Tori, how are you doing kid.?? I enjoy watching your videos very much the building of your van and your explanation of things I like the way you traced off the floor using the mat that was in there that was really smart one of the things I have learned from my building experiences a vehicles, especially vans your better off not referring out the floor and just attaching the insulation right to the ribs so that there’s some airflow underneath there and vent if there’s any moisture or something gets spilled it finds its way down through there and you can it will always dry itself off in the air, but at this point you can’t do that because you’ve done that and you’re putting that radiant heat in the floor that is absolutely the most efficient thing that you could’ve done radiant heat in commercial buildings and even some garages that I’ve done where we put the heat in the flooris a lot more efficient than hot air and I’m sure your design will be nice but this is about the night this morning a little after one here we’re on know where you’re at but it’s Christmas Eve so merry Christmas and have a very happy and wonderful new year. Looking forward to more content. Keep it coming kid.
FANTASTIC. Really enjoying your channel. You must be speed reading your episodes cuz you could be an auctioneer at your speed. 😂 Great episode and think you have a tremendous future ahead. You sure are one gutsy Lady going it alone, but you seem sharp as a tack. 👍
This looks like a great solution, I’m curious as to differences and similarities to a similar package by Just Roaming Design. Always good to have more options on the market and haven’t heard of these guys yet so will have to look into them more. Looking forward to part 2 of the install.
I’m very interested in part. Your content is inspiring me.

☆TORY☆ Hi, great video! Happy holidays ! 😊❤
well, geez the website is locked, never seen that before. Great video, thanks for taking the time to make this. I do know someone who would benefit from this due to medical problems.
Nice, I should actually be able to make this one, this time!

Good video!
That is a very interesting system for sure and I bet it's amazing in cold weather :) If you want to secure your cabinets to the floor with screws how do you do that without driving a fastener through the hydronic system?
You made me go look at their website. Too rich for my blood, but this looks like a fantastic system and I'd definitely be using it if it was in my budget.
Living in northern New Hampshire - right next to Vermont - and using a Webasto knock-off in our cargo trailer conversion and it gets plenty warm. Actually, TOO warm sometimes. #1 son lives in that fulltime through 4 New England winters. You must have misconfigured it, or you had no insulation in that van.
Good video ❤❤😊
Curious to see how well this systems keeps the van warm. Especially in colder climates and also with a Diesel Heater.
You impress. You really do a great job with information. My nephew and family live in Bend. Get an Ocean Roll, it will change your life..... Be well kid.
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY WARM DAYS. 👍👍👍🆓🗺️🥂

So glad you enjoyed it!
future video? People are saying that radiant heated floors just keep your toes warm. You need a heater plugged into the car tank to warm the place reliably. Thinking DogCatManan and TrioTransit. just a thought, not a critique. Thanks!
Tory, I meant to add that top-tier portable power station companies only compare their systems to the Yeti which has been using lithium-ion batteries they pioneered for over 10 years, no top-tier company has posted the Yeti 4000 or 6000 LiFePO4 battery technology or the Van Life Tech.
I always thought that the point of "van life" was to have the ability to drive south, when it became cold, to somewhere warmer.
I’m interested in this because they offer an integration with the RRE-Global smart floor but haven’t sent it yet. If I ever get to do this it will be a MB 3500XD
That's hot!
I'm sure it works great. But fear the lines may crack and bust in do time. I do really wish you the best and please be safe in the sand.
When will we see the floor completion? You have me motivated ((haha))
Yes
How does the foil radient barrier work with no air gap? Is it able to reflect heat because the pipes are not squished in there? Are they held slightly off the foil by the plywood channels?

No
gotta insulate the walls and the ceiling
The screaming sheep killed me 🤣
I wonder if driving using the heat from the engine block can also be used. I know a youtuber that heats their water using their engine.

I’m sorry but if you think about it you’ll see it’s pointless
Tory, you are such a kook! (And I mean that in a good way.) The look in your face when the tripod fell over was priceless. Give us more humor and kookiness! The van will be well suited for winter weather. What about 100°F summer days in the desert? I know a CHILLED water A/C system is some of the most efficient. Did you mention a price range for the combo DIY/pro install kit? $1,500-$4,000? Do you have an itinerary yet for 2024? I know for safety reasons you keep that info private, but perhaps you can coordinate some meet & greets with fans and viewers at various campgrounds. Van life is probably not for me due to physical limitations, but a self-contained tiny house on wheels is very enticing.
Good night hello 👋🏾 how you doing your still working on fixing van ? Happy Holidays and merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎁🎁🙏🏾💪💬🫴🏾👍🏾❄️❄️❄️👏🏾🔜🫵🏾🌹🌹🌹🫶🏾🫶🏾
This is so frustrating! Can’t wait to pay off my van so I can start another build!!!
bro! just go to florida for the winter
Is that pex pipe. Pex expands.
Warm toes…YEAH!!!
Came here for the beauty, stayed for the amazing content. Great job.
What is the cost? The Just Roaming floor system looks much easier to install with a lower profile
What is the estimate/ballpark guess of the full final cost (tax/shipping/extra parts/labor/everything)? $12-15k?
❤

👏👏👏
15 degress every night.. That's like our summer temp here.. I slept in my car other day just with a coat in 11 degress. My van isn't ready yet😢
Silly question did you pay for it ??.. or did u get a deal for the endorsement ??
How the heck are you going to power all of this?
11:29 that's fair lol
how much did vanlife tech charge?
You do know that sporting goods stores sell sleeping bags that are rated for 0° F. You'll be in there like an Egyptian Pharoah Mummy but it's warm.
