Thank you!!!! This is an solution to a problem that has been bugging me for the past week. I wanted to add casters to my steel pipe desk. They do make expanding casters that would cost about $75. This is a better solution. Thanks again.

Chamii, you did a fine job creating firm support. The caster wheels is the way to go. I recommend two of the four casters wheels be 'lockable'. Many reasons why. Nicely done. 👍

Very helpful! Thank you! I've been stuck on how to attach leveling feet to table legs that are metal and hollow. I'm going to see if I can do what you have done. You are very funny!

Perfect - this is exactly what I needed to see to solve an issue with a sweet old cast iron bed I bought today - It's so heavy I won't be able to move it to vacuum etc, unless I can add casters!

Since you have a threaded stem on that caster, would a nut and some washers solve the problem as well?

Now you have increased the height of the table, right? Or did you cut down the leg tubes, so with the wheels it would be the same height as before?

Nice, but how would you do this if the legs are 1.5" square metal tubing?

I managed to find square wood dowels (idk if there's a different word when they're square) in the right size at the hardware store, just needed to be sanded a bit in order to go inside the table leg. Maybe a store near you sells them too.

Or your can use an expandable stem caster. Thats will be quite a bit less work than the dowel method.

I think you could also just use a nut and a washer to tighten the threaded rod of the caster onto the rubber cap that you drilled into. That should keep it tight enough for light duty rolling.

Hi. How did you determine what size drill bit to use to fit each caster stem into the wood? I bought a random lot of caster wheels - never taking notice to the fact there were stem casters & plate casters. (Had I known I’d have seen if I could get only plate casters). I’m trying to just add wheels to everything. One of the things to be specific is just a platform with wheels to move heavy stuff. Other things are all my cabinets & shelves so I don’t have to ask some damn guy for help. (I’m really SICK of asking them for help because it means having to be treated like I owe them SEX or something just for .. getting help with… moving a heavy shelf across the room) (what’s worse is while this type of thing ultimately offends me in that it literally make me feel like they’re saying - You’re so undeserving & meaningless as a human being to the extent that your thoughts about me saying this and or feelings in general matter so little that you asking me to do something for you or help you do something you arent sure how to do or physically can’t do regardless of the fact it’d be very easy for me to do & almost impossible for you being your tiny size, automatically entitles me to ultimatum you for SEX or some type of activity involving my questionable genitalia wagging around your private parts, face or mouth as well as me doing all kinds of x rated things to your body regardless of how close or trusting or comfortable you may or may not feel with me. And if you thought I was your friend because all this time I acted as one - then I guess you shouldn’t have asked for help - that way you could go on thinking I think of you as some kind of valuable human being who like any human - might need a hand with something from time to time & that you mattered enough to me to make me care if you needed to get something done or if you even pulled it off at all or what the repercussions might be if you didn’t. But - you did ask for help - & coming from you that’s asking a LOT. Of course if another man asks me for help I’ll go help him & thjngs like that. But not you. You’re so worthless as a person that you’re going to have to do some serious self-degrading if you want My help. What’s more disturbing about this type of thing is that the guy will actually act offended by getting told No - & use that as his justification for leaving you to your self to figure out the task. Anyways, that’s why I don’t want to ask a guy for any help & therefore why I’m trying to put wheels on everything so I don’t have to. And I’ve searched the internet for things like “how yo convert a stem caster to a plate caster “how to take the stem off a caster & use it without it.” But I have found nothing. So if you might know, I’d love to hear any insight you might have on this. Because well, I have a bunch of stem caster wheels now that I’m not sure what to do with. P.S. Thanks for making a relatable sort of unorthodox How-to video, I liked it.

Well you did ask a guy for help . I hope this guy"s DIY video helped. It is very difficult to takr on life alone. We all need each other, but if not then at least develope a relationship with JC. Mind Body and spiritual development makes one complete. ♥️👑✨
