Installing And Testing Inner Fenders On The Felony

In this video I install and test out the inner fenders from Scorched Parts to see how much they raise the temps by, and to see if they keep dust and debris out of the inside any better than stock.

Put a little strip of flexible plastic on the inside of your body where it rubs. My cars often have rub spots that I have to cover on the inside so I don’t lose all my beautiful paint 🥲
Stickers are for toolboxes! I have a plastic parts/tool box I throw in the car whenever I go out. 👍
That's unfortunate. I almost got this with my last Scorched Parts order (titanium Ackerman plate, titanium longer screws and nuts for splitter). I don't want huge spots on the body rubbing. I already have that on the front wheel wells. Thanks for showing us your experience with the "upgrade". I just use my air compressor after every run.
Awesome to see our Traxxas buddy is getting more and more hooked on Arrma. Nevertheless. It sure does help for that bigger unwanted items and not so big surprise damage when you done riding Rubber rize the inner body wells.
Man my was like 🤑 on those power slides. Man so much so I want to buy another Felony
it is shown in the manual to use 2 rubber rings in the back
They work amazing on the infraction👌🏻
You killed it on that wide drift. 🤟😎🤟 sweet car man.👍👍

Thanks for sharing!
AWSOME !👍
o man that is that kinda drifting I want to do.
Awsome video!
So actually just got mine in today and I cut them out perfect even though the instructions you need to cut them out a little more than what they say. What happens is if you're running a small tires up front I think you'll be okay I'm running the fatties all the way around, so please don't work that well because of the turning radius of the fat tires. I found that even with the skinny tires up front and the skinny tires in the rear after running it it wasn't that much cleaner so I agree with what you said in the video this is really just for heavy dirt some mud or some water. I ran mine literally for about 20 minutes in the rain today but at home dried it out of the shop back and I'm good to go. So these worth 30 or whatever that they cost? Unless you are really going to be running in the mud which at that point it wouldn't matter anyways then I wouldn't waste your money. Great idea but I think once I get something that fits better and configures better to the different aspects of the car I think it'll be an even better idea once they nailed a little better. No I am going to go back once I have more time and mess with a little more I really don't want to cut my felony body because they're $95, to the left cutting into the body that I have to do is best. So in your video you were talking about in the rear hump how it's hitting the body you have to cut out part of the body if you look on the instructions it shows you that I was not willing to do that so that's another reason why I didn't keep them on.

So actually going to edit my comment I'm going to kind of own up to a mistake. I figure out what I did wrong and got the fenders on just fine so I'm probably going to order some more and then possibly another body. But just to clarify once you get everything settled in it everything should fit okay it's just I don't think everything's going to sit perfectly flush but it does look okay from the outside of the body.
I like your style man 😁... you have a great channel!

@@outsourcedrc well.... I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and immediately am drawn to your enthusiasm for the hobby. You’re very clear on what you like and still kind to products that may not be your favorite. I like that you try new things and you don’t intentionally destroy products just for fun. I get why some channels do that but it make me cringe watching someone smash new rc equipment lol. And you do it on your own with resources you undoubtedly work hard for. So yeah... I really appreciate what you do and how you do it! Keep up the good work!
Use tape for the body
What if you dremeled out some slits on the inner fender wells to let air in?
Darn man, you got that drift down now with the felony. I really like that RC, just don't know if I would be able to keep from hitting something with it. Great stuff!

Buddy I have 3 felony's 3 ..6s infractions 2-3's infractions an 2-vendettas.. it's inevitable you're going to crash if you're not used to the speed I suggest when you get it put the throttle setting on 50% until you get used to it you have 50 75 and 100% if you're wondering why I have so many I have each one set up for a certain application and one is kind of a Frankenstein I'm turning a felony into an off-road vehicle good luck my favorites are the felony the 6s infraction and the 3's infraction is really cool have fun
Maybe felt tape on top of the wheel wells to stop it from messing the paint up?
Man I really want a felony but I really don’t wanna buy 10 sets of tires this summer, I bet that things CHEWIN through those dboots😂. Wish they made some mudguards for the e revo mine absolutely shovels dirt inside

Figures you would bring these up the day after I put a light set in my FELONY , I WOULD have to move the fender lights to put fender gaurds in , I also installed titanium spark strips on the bottom of the chassis , I got them from scorched parts , gunna be a really cool night time car

That asphalt is really sand paper.. but it was wide enough
U can get aluminum pieces to close the rest of hole on bottom
I’m intrigued at the thought that it must be more cost effective for them to give you scissors than to pre cut the parts.

Looking at how long it took to trim the inner fenders it's definitely cheaper for Arrma to include scissors. Looks like a PITA to cut out if you ask me.

I was thinking about the 1/16 scale traxxas cars do you have any videos on them?
@outsourcedrc

Not yet. I have the 1/16th e Revo. They are nice RCs.
I almost pull the trigger on this set. Now, I'm not sure if I want them, since you did make a good point about overheating. How about if we buy a mesh dust guard protection and cover over it? Would that be better or worst? Also did Scorched fix that rear fender and make a ver 2 of it?
Hi can u please make a video of the traxxas rustler vxl and the traxxas hoss

fenders are useless..... they were made for LAZY people that don't like cleaning their car after each use. Cleaning your car will keep it running better.
I would have taped the inside of the body to protect the paint.
You must like buying tires
