    Just for information I recently bought one of these last week and installation is reasonably straightforward. I made sure I bought an appropriate bike first by checking it was a square taper bottom bracket so that the PAS sensor was straightforward to install. Also a lot of people say it doesn't fit in the dropouts. I think what they mean is the axle on the wheel supplied seems ever so slightly too big in diameter and it's a very very snug fit, but it does fit. I made sure the bottle mounts were high enough on the bike I purchased. It does help that I use extra large bikes as there is lots of clearance for battery. I received all of the tools necessary in the box such as chain whip crank puller Allen keys and cassette lockring tool. The wires are all colour coded and very straightforward didn't need any instructions for this. The only problem I ran into is the calipers on my bike on the rear hit the Hub motor. I only have 160 mm so I'm going to get a 203 mm and see if this clears the motor and solves the problem. Throttle works fine (19mph)peddle assist works fine you can change the speed to 40 km/h if you wish on the display

    This is a good video. I think the thing most do not realise about installing ebike kits is that there is no magic bullet. It will never go smoothly like above Often there is a lot of tweaking and fiddling as all bikes are really different, especially older ones.It can take some time to do and for total newbies you need more tools that you probably do not have. My advice would be to make sure you learn how to do some basics on your bike first before ordering. Index gears, replace brake cables and calibrate brakes, add and remove tyres, replace a chain, remove a cassette etc. Once you can do these, the install will be so much easier I have installed the Yose kit on 2 bikes and it is reliable, but definitely takes a bit more time than most KZread videos show.

    Great vid and because there is very little instructions with my kit and first build on a folding fat bike🥵 wrong move as to big to heavy and wouldn’t even go up hill, it was 48v 1000w now got a 20” wheel on a tern link folding bike and it rips😁 and goes up the steepest hill with no peddling, apparently because smaller wheels have much more torque, anyway your vid got me out of trouble so 👍 from me

Would the cable be long enough to mount the battery behind the saddle down tube? 2. Does the display screen allow you to set the maximum speed allowable and can it be set to mph. I am thinking of using the same kit on a carrera crossfire 2 hybrid and it has the same integrated brake/gear lever assemblies as the vulcan. Thanks for the video I have just fitted the same kit to a Carrera Crossfire, and having something to refer to was great. I differed slightly on a couple of things. I decided to install another rivnut in the frame so I could secure the holder using the two outer fitting holes. I have fitted the throttle but not connected it, as I do not feel comfortable without the handbrake motor cut offs. To my mind they are a safety precaution should the throttle go short or stick. Unfortunately the Yose power supplied brake levers cannot be fitted to the bike as the brake and gear levers are integrated as are yours. Pity Yose Power do not offer alternatives in the kit.

    @@Celtic-bt6nk Yes reasonably straight forward and this video was a good reference. As I have stated elsewhere on here I added another screw hole in the frame to better support the battery holder. I also modified a pair of magnetic operated brake reed switches from another suppliers website and attached them to my levers, so I could take advantage of the motor cut off circuits, so the throttle could be used safely.

    I've just installed this kit, and as shown in the video above, it was very straightforward... Except the motor hub does not fit into the dropouts! The diagram on Amazon with the width of the motor hub shows it as being 135 mm. My dropouts were 135 too. But I discovered that the hub has two protruding nuts, plus the lugged washer, which take the width closer to 145. I managed to slide the hub in in the end, but the washers are outside the forks! What can I do?

    An update: There was a comment on my post from another customer who had the same problem as I did, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether. I also found a review by a German customer on Yose Power’s website, who had to pay the local bike shop 40 euros to widen his forks so the motor hub would fit. I tried to do the same thing using a car jack but the forks just snapped back into place. I watched as many youtube videos as I could find which showed the rear motor hub heing inserted into the forks. Most of them put the lugged washers on the outside, not the inside. Some advised strongly to do it this way. See the video kzread.info/dash/bejne/lpxql7p6l9nYm7g.html, from about 6:30 onwards. Yose Power were very responsive when I contacted them through their website, but made the point that there would be many more complaints if other customers had the same problem as I did. In the end, they suggested putting slimmer washers in. Lots of people who were doing conversions advise using a torque bar, which is what I am going to do. It’s on order, and should provide the extra safety the kit needs.

    Great video. I received the AW rear wheel conversion kit from Amazon. My bike shop looked at it and there are two problems. First problem is that my Shimano crank is tapered and the PAS takes up room so that my crank will not slide back on all the way, I can tighten the bolt but the crank is not seated all the way and the bike shop said it will eventually wear out the crank arm since it is not tightly seated. Is there a PAS system that will work in this case? Also the derailer rubs in top gear and the bike shop said no way to fix except to adjust to lose the top gear.

    Hi there just asking did you use the cassette from the donor bike. If you did was this straight forward.

  • @bikeplusone2736

    @bikeplusone2736

    I did yes, the kits come in casette and freewheel variety if need be. You just need a chainwhip and cassette removal socket if your donor bike has a cassette. Very easy in theory but sometimes takes a lot of force to undo on an old bike.

    @@danhle1032 yeah I bought one, it is very straightforward to install, unfortunately my kit was missing the wheel nuts, so I have not been able to use it, they are sending me some, a nice kit. Although if you have a hollow tech crank you will need a different Pas sensor, I had to put the sensor ring on the chain ring side, didn't realise by doing this the pas would only only kick in when I pedaled backwards.

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzread.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

    4:42 don't use them! What happens is that if you leave the bike sat for a decent period of time all the 'slime' drains down and collects and dries in the inside of the value. You will find it really hard to pump air in to the tyre, it happened to me! I just bought kevlar 'postie' tyres and never had a puncture again.
