Thanks for the video…I just picked up a used hitch for my 2007 classic from fb marketplace for $100 bucks! Going to do the same as you and clean it up and paint it and also pick up some new hardware…I haven’t had any luck finding the right size U bolts online so I think I was use your method with some flat bar and bolts!

I appreciate your time you sharing this brother. Very useful for me . God bless your family ! And what’s the heaviest load you towed with your truck ? And how many miles on yours ? Any issues ? Mine is 06 LBZ single rear wheel , diesel 225k no issues

@silasferreira9647 you bet! I'm glad you enjoyed it. My truck it a 2007 2500 HD Classic with 6.0L gas and 5 speed. it has about 160,000 miles on it and I've not really had any issues with it. I've replaced a couple normal parts, transfer case seal, u-joints etc. It does need an AC compressor clutch now. The most I've hauled with it is probably around 10,000 lbs including the trailer.

Did you need the oblong/oval frame spacer for that rear frame mount bolt? If not, how does it tow without it?

I don't think any kind of spacer is necessary. I never checked to see if a spacer came in the kit new, but I cranked that big bolt pretty tight and there has never been any hint of movement of the hitch or anything. If the bolt is clamping properly I would think it shouldn't need to rely on the edges of the hole to stop it. I'm having no issues with it at all. Thanks for watching and the comment!

Is there anyway I could email you some picture of my install? I just put it on today and I'm having my doubts that I put it too far forward. Thanks

Great video, nice and simple , there are more lengthy videos for this , but you made it easy to understand and take alot of the hype out of it👍, did you end up putting a tac weld on bed where it over cut for center hole? I'm doing this to my truck soon! Thanks Paul

I just went to my local hardware store. They had everything. If I remember correctly it was about 6 carriage bolts and a couple grade 8 bolts. Thanks for watching!
