The way you installed it, with the lines coming out of the top, is the preferred method. Although most people install the cooler with the lines going down, because it looks neater, installing them with the lines going up eliminates any air pockets and assures you are using 100% of the cooler.

Yeah I agree with you a lot of people will face them down to hide the lines underneath but as you said you could end up with air bubbles and my point of view. I don’t mind people being able to see the lines are as long as it’s working 100%. There’s a lot Of different opinions when it comes to mounting the cooler but I guess to each their own 🤷‍♂️.
