We used these on the ranch i was on in Sth Dakota, ive now got them all over our property in australia but with plumbing fitted
Nice video, I want to see part two. How is the cement going to dry with water completly filled to the rim? Also, why not just bring out 2 metal tanks?
Mate I love it
I saw this on a farm today and I wondered how it retained the water. This is the only info I could find that pretty much answered my question. And to add the water was completely green. Is that safe for the cattle to drink, green water?
Rig up a Toilet Fill for your tanks - continuous refill when your animals drink + evaporation. Need to build an overhead cover - ROOF - to reduce evaporation by heat of water.
i made 3 after watching this video. thanks so much. i have pits & mastiffs & they chew & destroy everything. they love to play in water! i used old tires from my jeep:15 in rim. i just picked up 2 big tractor tires today, gonna make 2 more for my horses since now i'm a "pro" at it! i tried bolting metal to the rim hole on one of the smaller ones but it leaked 1/2 water out by next day. i wish that method would work so they would be portable. u have any ideas on that? appreciate your video.
I can't help but wonder if this would work for a small pond too
Lot of work for a watering tank. We just use big plastic cement tank. Cheap and you can place as many as you want. Here a big one will only cost you about 6 or 7 euro's.
might be a dumb question but y not just install a mounted float system....bolts to side of your existing tank and a garden hose hooks to it... $50 at most local co-op stores
Great idea, but Way to much concrete over kill and you better bring the 4020 instead of sledge when you go to move that!
Please reconsider using this due to the possibility of chemicals from the tire leaching into the water, especially when exposed to heat and sunlight 😬 Exposed steel wire used in the tires construction if ingested, can lead to the potentially fatal hardware disease. The wire can also cut or poke the cattle.
how will you clean it out...wouldn't you want your animals drinking out of clean tanks, cuts down on parasites and sickness
