For the work of removing the interior, a painless harness made to run the factory engine management and all the goodies sounds like a good investment. You'll know where and what wire dose when it's done. Alot of folks would love to see this for sure. I know I would. 👍👍

You know there was a time we ran 6x9 speaker and had a good system. Woofer didn’t come about until the 80s for cars. Nothing better than running highs (tweeters,) and mids properly mounted.

I've had several amplified drivers that were 6x9's hooked up to the amplifier as rear speakers and like 4 X10 pyramid phase 3 gold series speakers supposed to be 300watts a pair out of two sets I used one that lasted.

Reason for your engine noise can be more than a ground. Isolators are ghetto, they are also not solving the problem. First off your RCA or the sends to the amp and your speakers should be separated. Also kept away from power wires. Ya broke the first rule of Mobil audio. RCA is the part of the signal that is the easiest of the bunch to pickup noise.

Also those 3.5 speakers will need a cap put inline of the positive wire. Ya need to filter out all lows from 120hz. down out those little woofers will not last getting a full range signal.

I was getting ready to say although he said he has never installed a radio system like that before, look at the wiring never run the power remote and ground with the speaker wires they should be kept away from each other ran down different sides of the vehicle if possible, because they will generate electrical interference in the system,it is usually electrical feedback, very common on Ford and dodge to begin with, think about if you have ever rode in a older vehicle with the flea market radios and especially the Ford and dodge brands of vehicles and they go to take off and sometimes it is worse if they are running the heater, but it has a interior humming noise that speeds up and slows down with engine rpm, that is the radio interference I was referring to and some GM's do it to they just usually have noise suppression or a noise suppressor device wired in the vehicle wiring somewhere.

100 microfarad non linear capacitors on the + terminals of the "tweeters " will filter out the low base and some of the Mids. They won't last long running straight. Engine noise could be coming through bad ground on antenna lead. And yes, was a "pro " audio installer for many years. Not elite, but know a few things that always work.

If you have inductive noise (i.e. alternator whine), it can be caused by a variety of things: 1. Cheap Chinese headunit. Straight up, I've had more alternator whine caused by crap headunits than anything else and that goes double for Android-based units. The Chinese-made chips in those android headunits are garbage and are notorious for producing a constant hissing noise, whereas the Chinese android units that use an IBM-manufactured chip are fine. A quick Google should get you the info you need. The second issue with Chinese units is that they often have badly-designed circuits for the low-level output, often running voltages as low as 1v, sometimes lower. The lower the voltage of the RCA output, the more easily it can be overpowered by inductive noise or a dirty power line. The reason people have fewer issues with the main brands (Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, etc) is that they run 4+ volts for their low-level signals, often via better circuits using higher quality components. That said, I've had brand-name headunits with alternator whine, which was solved by replacing the headunit with something else. If you can't solve your noise problem, just borrow a cheap Alpine/Kenwood bluetooth headunit with an LCD screen and hook it up. 90% chance it will solve the problem. 2. Bad earth. Create a new, clean earth for the head unit and the amp. 3. Bad wiring path. Run the low-level RCAs away from everything else, and especially ensure that they don't run alongside high power wires. 4. Speaker/RCA wires bound in a loop. Don't run excess audio cable in a loop like a garden hose, zip tie it in an S shape of folds. Loops create a coil and can cause inductive interference. 5. Cheap and badly shielded RCA leads. You don't have to spend a fortune, but the cheaper the price the more likely you are to end up with a dud, due to poor quality assurance. As an FYI, never make the mistake of following KZread "tips" to solve inductive noise that suggest you ground the outside of the RCA lead, because if you do that and you disconnect your amp/headunit's earth with power connected, it will try to earth through the tiny wire in the RCA leads.

If you run dash speakers to head unit you will be able to adjust the amp to get more mid bass out of your 6.5 door speakers. Also someone already commented, get the RCA cables away from the main power wire to get rid of engine noise. Now that you have had your flock done for a while, how are you liking it and how is it holding up? Thinking about doing it on my OBS.

The Engine noise could be from the cheap radio also. I’ve seen this happen few time in friends cars that got the no name radios off Amazon and eBay. If a good ground to the radio doesn’t fix it and ur rca are separated from ur power wires most likely it’s the radio.

Well I wired up everything correctly but I wasn’t getting any sound unless I turned the volume all the way up. I ended up ditching the stock amp and I now got sound. The only problem now is all the speakers work besides my door speakers. Do I need a amp to make those work? I hear the dash and door speakers are tied in together?
