great video!! Glad I found your video helpful tip on the distance from the shower back wall!
Hi Dan, Thank You for your excellent installation video. It was step by step and you did a great job editing for close ups and further away images. Great Job!
Nice info, however I believe you mounted the brackets upside-down. The set screw should be on top of the bracket. This accomplishes two things: The screw won't be visible, and the nub that holds the setscrew provides a higher point where the first and last shower hook can hang without sliding along with the rest of the curtain when opening it.

Nope water will get in through the set screw, it will come loose , the bar will get full of rank water .
i got my curved rod to feel roomier in shower so i do want to move it as far as possible to old location thanks 🙏❤️☮️
This helped so much I had to reinstall this when I initially moved into my complex snotty work but I did upgrade it so well they paid me for repairs when I left haha

Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
It seems as though there is now less room in the shower.
Excellent how-to video. Installers often put these curved rod brackets the same distance from the wall as the old brackets. Other videos fail to address this issue. Good job on your part. I use a rubber mallet instead of my hand or forehead.

Nice job. Very well explained.
Great content, thanks. very clear instructions. You motivated me.👍
Good stuff Dan, I always wanted to do this.
Great video. Looks like you used a nail punch to make the holes. The directions are so small that I couldn’t imagine that it said 1/8” drill bit but I guess it does after what I saw you just do. Little tougher for me since my tile is 8ft up so I’m on a ladder doing this but after watching I feel way more secure in what to do. Thanks, its also the same rod I purchased.
Thanks mate.
Are those wall anchors better than Wingits? I put one up going into studs, but in the new house I don't have the option.
We are installing this same rod in a Mirolin Liberty one piece shower tub. the rod is too long how do we cut the curved rod to fit. This was the rod that was shipped with the arcylic shower tub.
I was able to use your video to reinstall a curved shower curtain rod that had been mounted incorrectly. Until I watched your video I couldn't understand why my curved shower curtain rod was protruding into the bathroom floor space and making the room feel quite small. It had been installed as if it was a regular shower curtain rod. I also re-hung the shower curtain rod as high to the ceiling as possible. Now my curved shower curtain rod makes my bathroom look high end. Thank you.

@@danjiles my pleasure. I was so pleased to be able to repurpose that shower curtain rod. I was going to throw it away - but after watching your youtube video I gave it another chance. Also cleaned it up, bought a new extra long fancy shower curtain - but that's another story. Looks quite fancy now. Yay!

It is amazing how the curved shower curtain can make such a huge difference to the bathroom. The little things makes it all worth while.
I was hoping the rod being installed would be one of the adjustable ones with a range of opening widths.
Thank you!

You're welcome!
Where do I get the shower rod screw ? One of the screw is missing and broken.
Couldn't see the bracket install close up enough to see which way up the bracket should go. I don't have the manual for it as its 2nd hand.
It depends on name brands to Rods. So it would be nice to have DIY producers to always mention name brands.
I have alway's wanted to know why most people use a flat head screw driver to put a small little hold in for the screw anchor? I never used screw anchors before but won't they fall behind the wall while trying to get them out or how would you get them out? This is a really nice video and I just installed a curve shower rod yesterday but I didn't use screw anchors but it's holding up pretty good. So keep up the good work and awesome videos. :)
Curved shower rod should be installed 3” in front of the center line of the tub edge.
When installing the bracket on the wall with the shower, is there any concern about hitting a water pipe? Or are the pipes closer to the shower head and faucet?

if the water lines are piped correctly, you should not have a worry, also, the screws are not that long, so they shouldn't hit any pipes in that area. But, you should be careful if you're using very long screws.
Wouldn't water come out?
The item referenced in this video is not ADA Approved
Hmmm. Somewhat deceptive as the thumbnail shows the rod being attached to tile. Also,it would help if you could move the camera for close shots of things like adjusting the set screw.

sorry to disappoint. I shot this a bunch of years ago, too late to turn back now.
It would have been even more helpful if you would have shown BOTH brackets being installed instead of just one. And I will agree with the comment that you should NEVER use your hand as a hammer!
seems like you never addressed the correct heigth of the installation, i believe that would be important in new construction or a remodel.

It didn’t touch on height due to people having different length shower curtains.
Nice video, however It looks as though it should come out just a tad. Its a girl thing. The shower curtain wouldn't hide that tile🙄

Understand that, but in order for the curtain to fit in the tub you have to move the rod in a bit.
Never use your hand as a hammer!
