How to Install a Zenna Curved Shower Rod || Permanent Install

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a super easy DIY project that can make a huge visual difference in your bathroom, and make showers more enjoyable. A curved shower rod can provide several more inches of shoulder and elbow space, giving you more room to move around. This particular model can be mounted via tension or permanent installation, but what is really great about it is that you use the tension to help mark for the permanent install. This makes the process incredibly easy and you don't have to stress about the two sides lining up correctly.

Hi DIYer! Great job! Thank You SO much for uploading this video on the installation of this Zenna shower curtain rod. You instructions were very clear step by step and the close ups and distance shots of the video were well done. I now have a courage to proceed with this DIY project. Did you get your shower curtain? Hopefully you are enjoying the updated shower set up. :)

So, silly question. To reverse engineer, a secured curved rod. ( I need to adjust the height.I would start by taking the “ mollies” out under each bracket, then taking tiny screw out that determines the width. Lifting it up then secure again.

That sounds correct. You could easily just transfer the holes by using a straight edge to move them up a few inches if that is all you want to do. Just have to then patch the old holes with spackle.

Looking for one of these to install in a tiny camper shower. Need to be able to swivel it both directions when used and not used. Can this be swiveled after installation?

Can the screw go on bottom to keep curtain rings from snagging on it?

The screw can only go on one side because the rod has a hole on only one side. But you should be able to flip the rod over so the screw will be on the bottom rather than the top.

That looks way too high. Also discovering that the shower curtain hooks/rings do not slide over the joint , they made that middle rod flat on the top and it creates a bump that the hooks/rings will not easily move over Horrible rod, don't waste the dough . He'll be getting a ladder every day to put hooks back on.

Going to make a slight revision - Looks like the guy who install this shower rod in his bathroom left off a plastic joint where the main rod connects to the flat on top rod , not sure if that will make a difference with the hooks/ rings sliding. Still think the rod in the video is way too high , wish he had a curtain hanging to see if it moves easily.

The curtain slides without issue and none of the rings have come off. The plastic joint is in there. The rod is not to high, I actually messed up and its about 2-3 inches lower than I wanted. I have 9 foot ceilings, I put on a 7 foot long shower curtain and you want the curtain to be roughly 6 inches above the floor so the rod needs to be 7 and half feet above the floor. Unfortunately I forgot to add in the curtain rings and the how much they lower the curtain from the rod so the end result was a curtain 3 inches off the floor. Last of all I agree the video would have been better with a curtain at the end but my wife and I could not come to an agreement on which decorative curtain we wanted.

@@thediygrunt I ended up buying this shower curtain rod because the current bathroom rod , same manufacturer was missing one of the plastic ring guides. Whoever installed the rod , left off the guide (why would you do that) and also put flat side up and on the right. I Learned several things in the process. 1. And here is where I really messed up The black ends are not the same . Bracket A has a 1 and 1/16 tube inch opening Bracket B has a 1 and 1/8 tube inch opening You can not fit the adjustable tube C end into Bracket A without damaging it (cracking the plastic from edge to hole where threaded insert goes into.. Very dumb design. Very poor instructions. Make openings 1 and 1/8, The openings should be the same! That 1/16th of an inch difference is the difference between installing the rod or breaking the bracket. Pure bad luck that I grabbed bracket A and not Bracket B first. 2. The FLAT side faces down and should be on the left when installed (that is called out on pg 5. and pg 7) never made sense to have flat side facing up. That left a huge ridge for rings to jump over especially with the plastic guide ring missing. 3. The set screw faces down. (pg8) My rod is at 79 inches , 64 from top of tub curtains are 7 inches from floor and overlap tub by 9 inches.
