WOW! So cool, really transformed the M3! Would have never guessed that big of difference, you added at least 5K to the cars value.

Nicely done so epic. Kudos to your glass guy using a wire cutter on the bottom of the glass to avoid damage to the dashboard.

My M3 is an E90. I didn't have a preference on sunroof or slicktop as I was looking for a specific spec (alpine white/ fox red/6MT) so the pickings were slim but I ended up with a sunroof. I enjoy it and the kids love it. I've thought about a carbon swap but it's not a gotta have it for me, at least at this time lol....I think for the E92, carbon is the way for sure. It came out great!

Great work! Appreciate the in depth view of the process as very few videos out there show the drilling of the spot welds and splitting through the seam sealer. On the other hand your glass guy had me concerned 😂. Dude needs to invest in a fiber line cutting tool like the WRD spider. So incredibly easy and you don’t have any sharp metal near the body or painted surfaces. This is also the only approved way to remove glass from a car with a carbon roof. Also the “BMW way” per repair instructions would be to apply the windshield urethane to the glass and not the body. Regardless. Solid work and the end result is amazing! Looking forward to my carbon roof install on my e90 M3!

This video was awesome. Usually I don’t care but I enjoy this video so much. I just wanted to clarify. OE=Original Equipment = BMW OEM=Original Equipment Manufacture= a 3rd party making parts to OE spec. I think everybody says OEM, but this video was awesome so I had to make a comment since you used OE parts. Nice job. Looking forward to when you do the 1er since it’s something on my list to do one day as well.but I really enjoyed this one. I would’ve liked to see the rivet install for that rear brace, but maybe you can show that when you do the one series. Thanks again for sharing your work.

This is the video I've been waiting for! "Carbon✊ fiber✊ roof✊, Carbon✊ fiber✊ roof✊..." lol It came out great! I was looking forward to doing this on my ZHP but it may be totaled from flooding this past weekend 😢 If so, I hope to replace it with something as nice and memorable.

There was a slicktop on the 1m but not a factory carbon roof. So it will be aftermarket for mine

Such a nice color. What is color of the wrap called ?

It looks really good, But I still would be worried about water getting in. I remember gears and gasoline try to do the carbon room on the sti and had a lot of issues with water getting in. You might of wanted to leave the roof liner down in the car so you can test if water is coming in.

Non carbon version was better.

They should have never even had a sunroof option. It's disgusting that people really ticked that box 🥲. Slicktop or carbon roof should have been the only possibilities. Because the market is flooded with all the nasty sunroof cars .
