    I honestly wish each Brand of baby car seat could supply a link to a video atleast of different ways to install a car seat. It would help so many people because brands may differ as well as cars.

    Awesome! The Model X is great for filming, but the concepts are the same for all vehicles as you found out.

    Can you talk about the lower anchors on the Bri tax one4 life car seat

    Hi Lisa. Sure. They're located in a pouch inside the guts of the One4Life. The lower connectors look like staplers; you'll want to thread them through the forward-facing belt path, which is behind where the child's back is. Attach the lower connectors so that the "fat" part of the stapler end is up and the red push release button is on top. Pull the strap snug and close the ClickTight panel. It may take a couple of tries to get it just right. The weight limit for LATCH is 35 lbs., so only a lightweight child can use the seat when it's installed this way. And don't forget to attach the top tether!

    Is the tether needed as well if rear facing? My daughter is still rear facing and I have this same carseat for her.

    Hi Alondra. No, you don't tether the One4Life while rear-facing. Britax doesn't allow it. If you'd like anti-rebound protection for her, you can purchase an anti-rebound bar from Amazon (amzn.to/3Es40Sf) or from Britax directly (us.britax.com/shop/car-seat-accessories/anti-rebound-bar-for-one4life-car-seats).

    If you have a normal car with the normal back seat where do hook the tether to?

    Cristene, if you have a sedan, the top tether anchors are behind the vehicle head restraints. For hatchbacks and SUVs, they can be just about anywhere so you should check your owner’s manual.

    When I put it to recline 8, the little recline guard is in black??

  • @heatherwatson5951

    Hi Brenda. You’ll need to put it on a recline where it’s in the recline for your child-either blue or green. If you can’t quite get there in full recline, you can add a pool noodle(s) or tightly rolled towel.

    If you're installing this forward-facing on a bench seat do you need to attach the tether to anything?

  • @CarSeatSite

    Hi! Yes, you should definitely attach it to a tether anchor. I would try to place it in a seating position that has an anchor available. Your vehicle owner’s manual outlines where they are located. If you don’t have one, Google the model year, make, and model and you’ll be able to find a .pdf version. I do this all the time!

    Does the vehicle’s headrest interfere with the booster when the Britax headrest is fully extended?

  • @CarSeatSite

    @CarSeatSite

    5 ай бұрын

    Hi! It will definitely touch. I would install the seat with LATCH to keep it secure, but not rock solid tight. That way the One4Life headrest won't press into the vehicle's headrest as much. What Britax doesn't want to happen is the carseat headrest to be pushed forward to distortion-it should follow a straight line more or less.

    Don’t you also want to extend the belt all the way before tightening so that it locks? Otherwise the belt can loosen over time.

  • @CarSeatSite

    Hi. No, not for the One4Life. The ClickTight panel acts as a lockoff, which locks the seat belt. The seat belt should not loosen over time.

    Whats the point of having the anchors? You didn't use them for rearfacing or front facing. Are they useless?

  • @CarSeatSite

    @CarSeatSite

    Жыл бұрын

    @Deana Diaz, they are! Nearly. You'd be amazed at the number of broken seat belts I see when I go to carseat checkup events-even in newer vehicles-so having LATCH as an option is nice. And they're required by federal standards. But with carseats like this that have robust belt tensioning devices, seat belt installations are the way to go!

    What level should I put it if my son is 22 pounds ???

  • @CarSeatSite

    @CarSeatSite

    Hi Barbara. The recline level on the One4Life isn’t weight-based so you recline the seat to wherever is best for your child as long as the angle indicator window shows in the green hashed color-the label next to the indicator explains it. If he’s only 22 lbs, can I ask why you’re using the seat forward-facing? It goes to 50 lbs rear-facing and it’s much safer to rear-face than forward-face. That’s part of the great cost of this seat-the engineering that went into making the seat rear-face to 50 lbs.
