    Good video I'm doing my 2011 silverado full system setup also, did you leave the original speaker wires connected to the head unit like you showed and just taped into them? Or did you cut them and just connected factory speaker wire to the new wires your running?

    I been wanting to hook up my ds18s to a amp do u just tap in to the speaker connections on the back of the stereo, and use new rcas ? I already have a separate amp for some subs in the back tho

    Good job man. Only advice is take the paint off the metal wherever you're gonna put the ground and don't run rca or speakers wire next to you power wire

    Nice video, could have been a little more detailed with wire connections. My two cents, don't get carpet ! So much harder to keep clean, with vynl just blow it out and good to go, spill a drink, no problem!

  • @fallensoul93
    @fallensoul933 жыл бұрын

    its actually worse off to ground out on an existing bolt on the cab or frame, put a self tapping screw into the cabs metal itself but before you do you want to use a grinder and get the paint of the metal so its a metal to metal connection, if you ground straight to the bolt like you did you will eventually short it out and fry the amp. otherwise dude your install is clean!

  • @onelow0889

    Yeah I do that at work but seen the existing bolt on my truck and figured it would be a cleaner install, but yeah I’ll consider that! Thank you though!

    Front and rear, its so you can control the fade. Like make only the front speakers play or only the rear. You don't need 4 rcas if your amp has a switch to send signal to all channels
