Pro tip to make your life easier next time. Once you take the heads off the rivets. use a punch to drive out the remaining parts of the rivets, then use heat on the ring gear. Will press off much more easier.

Third pro tip i'll give you, When replacing the outer shells of the bearing from the casing, use a heat gun to heat the casing, outer shells will fall out with very little effort.

Fourth pro tip for you is, the shims behind the bearing outer shells are there to set preload on the diff bearings. When ever new bearings are replaced, the pre load needs to be redone as no bearing is the same. VW/Audi Specify that you need to have 0.30mm of preload on the bearings. You need to measure this using a dial gauge. This is not the correct way to be doing this job. It will be functional but not correct.

This is correct. There is a different video showing this. Basically you measure the “play” distance with a dial gauge, then add 0.3mm to it, then add new shims according to that. Correct?

i don't understand why OEMs still using open-diffs or clutch-LSDs with all complicated traction system instead of the Wavetrac LSD or at least Quaife LSD that can do auto lock & auto torque balance precisely for both streets & off roading with less part & low maintenance cost?!

E agora o que fasso para conseguir adptar os meu cabos no seletor da caixa? Ja agora alguém me sabe dizer se o racio das caixas e diferente ?

O racio vai ser diferente de serteza . Tens que ver se consegues trocar o seletor para a outra caixa se não der não vale a pena inventar

But remember, we use blanking plate from Epytec and custom 02M driveshafts from Epytec. From what I notice, we need the 4wd LSD order not 2wd. It would be the same as using stock diff (toothed) with a blanking plate. Hope I’m right because I already ordered the 4wd LSD version (toothed shaft)

Yes you can but you need to change the bell housing on the gearbox
