Must admit.. I'm loving the couple of diesel additions recently. The torque achieved out of such modest engines is incredible. Always a good crack to watch. Would love to see more. Can tell the dude is having a blast too. Thanks for the consistently great content!

This video is why I love cars, people just doing their own thing in their own way and expressing their love for cars how they want. A petrol head is a petrol head no matter what you drive 👍🏻

That Bora is a time machine! Not only does it remind me of the early '00s, but with all that torque I believe it could actually travel through time as well !! Also, with 350bhp and the smoke thrower at the back, I reckon it would make a fine James Bond car...…(LOL) Keep on GASSING !!

Mine was on 185k when i sold it, still pulled hard in every gear. Very reliable cars, would love a fabia vrs with a remap. Absolutely fly mid range grunt is awesome

Well. Considering most diesel golfs that have basic mods can smoke like this or considered to have an issue you wouldnt expect it to have 350bhp when theyd never make that out of the factory so yeah I'd say a sleeper.

I know plenty of people with 120-140bhp MK5 Jettas, Golfs, Leons & 306 TDIs that smoke like fuck due to a reek map. Smoke doesn't mean it's got power.. It's easily achieved by any bell end who wants to dump unburnt diesel into their exhaust regardless of power level.

Lol there’s smoke and then SMOKE, this is on a different level of smoking, normal ones just have the odd puff under acceleration, this is just a huge cloud of smoke. The police would pull you over if they saw this going down the road

Them PD engine's are no joke. I tried to keep up with a fabia vrs in a 206 gti 180 and didn't have a chance in hell. Great video!

Bullet Proof my arse. - I spent a fortune getting my PD130 fixed. it had Cams, lifters, Injectors and Turbo. and that didn't even get me much farther away from stock. I am really beginning to hate my PD130. all the hype is over rated.

It's easy to exaggerate figures when you're building cars. I thought I was at least £12k into my MK2 Golf Resto-Mod with a fully built 1.8t hybrid turbo. Because I went piece by piece each time I bought something I felt like it was costing so much when in reality it was less than £100 per week. Reminding myself of all the times buying parts breaking my heart led me to believe I was well over the 10k mark.. But when I took the time and tallied up every expense and reciept that I had written down on my notepad, I was surprised to find that I barely spent 6k on the entire thing.

Fun fact- the reason diesels run so Much boost, and such a high static compression ratio, is because Diesel engines actually work by using extreme pressure to combust its fuel.

That LSD must make pretty big difference with that amount of torque. On the exact same wheels I get up to 2nd gear wheel spin with my chipped VR5 Golf MK4, which only has about 185 HP (170 stock) but a lot of mid range torque.

My last tuned mk4 tdi I didn't put the head stud kit in and I ended up lifting the head too I pulled that engine out in a much fresher alh in with APR head studs and new turbo and clutch/ pressure plate.... love it my other mk4 has 514k miles with all original engine trans and turbo and still gets 52mpg it's going to get the same treatment as my beetle did....I will miss the 52mpg but the beetle still gets mid 40's so I'm not upset with that

Luke Thompson way way more fun cars. Bmw diesels however arent as easy as the 1.9 tdi to modify, in the sense that they are more electrically controlled. My 335D is at 400 break and that is the max anyone in Norway can get out of it

Not necessarily.. I'm a mechanic, it's rare that head lift or a popped head gasket causes oil and water to meet. It usually goes around the cylinder which has water galleries close by! Oil galleries are miles away

Perhaps I'm being that guy on the internet but that seems like a generous Dyno to make that power with those mods

Lee Cottiss the only darkside part on the car is the intercooler.. it was mapped at narco by adam and adam showed us all the dyno printout It made 309bhp to the flywheel so it’s roughly 260-270bhp to the wheels
