Excellent video for those who prefer solid pins connecting link. 'Regina' uses them and my bike (BMW F800GS) came from Germany with that chain stock. Installed the third set after 7 years and 58 110 miles with the previous 2!

It takes more than just a tap with the hammer to peen over the ends of the pins. Make sure they match the factory fitted pins. 👍

Did it on an rk chain ro 525. Took way more than one tap to seal the pin. But it works.

1:37 - how much are you supposed to turn so not to overtighten?

Use precision caliper and measure the distance between the plates as you tighten them(undo the tool, measure, install it again, if need be, HOWEVER do not overtighten.) . Measure the factory installed plates' distances and use them as a reference point.
