For some reason when I try to connect (everything in termus looks fine) the vnc viewer says "The port on which the computer is listening for a connection could not be contacted." and I can't make a connection. Does anyone have an idea why that might be?

The problem is, they are the same file size, but in your case, use qemu. Sorry for the delay, didn't see your comment.. Edit: you need a rooted device with 8 gigs of storage, and atleast 4 gigs of ram to run ubuntu server, and to run the full version, you need 8 gigs and 22 gigs of storage..

Just remove lock file with this command "rm -rf /tmp/.X1-lock ; rm -rf /tmp/.X11-unix/X1" Then run then vncserver again
