Mike to the rescue. Good job guys. I hate it when some body takes short cuts and doesn't do things right. Why would they not but those rear gaskets on that doesn't even make sense to me. I know Moser has 28 spline axles but they were probably more that you wanted to spend. Loving this series on the truck. Its going to be so cool!!

I have a small cordless drill/screwdriver with an adapter which I use for putting wheel nuts on. I set it on the lowest slip screwdriver setting for initial fitting and finish the nuts off with the torque wrench. It saves setting up the compressor and getting the air gun out. First time I tried this method I had it on drill setting and almost broke my wrist!

I did this once a long time ago, before the cordless impacts were a thing. The first Craftsman 19.2v before they called them "C3", just like RoadKing uses. Anyway, I popped it in reverse, braced myself, and broke one free on my mini SUV. Lined up for the second one, and POW! It broke free all right, broke the retaining screw and backed the drill chuck right off the shaft! Needless to say, I bought the first cordless impact I could find. I was hooked on the convenience with that first lug nut!

Id just like to say thank you for making this video. I have a hot rod that ive been working on and wanted to do a disc brake conversion. Couldnt figure out what axles and brakes were on it. Turns out they were F100 19 spline with the same brakes. This was great to reference for all the same work i need to do. Mine didnt have those gaskets either. FWIW, Dutchman can make these axles in case you ever need them.

That was a terrific job. Love that 4 way lug wrench, nice and big. Nothing like spinning that wrench clockwise and feeling the nut cinch up. =D One thing I always hated was the smell of 90W gear oil, you get that on your jacket and it is there forever. =D
