Question if car already has a digital display fotr oil temp why do we need a separate one?

15:09 in the video. Basically this process also applies to oil pressure gauge so you can do oil pressure gauge on GR86 following it. As for my personal application, I want to measure the oil temp diff before/after the oil cooler so an extra oil temp gauge is needed.

Thanks for the informative video. Next time when you pull off the pre-cut cable covers, you can twist them so the cable inside is already twisted. Saves you a step and it can sometimes look nicer.

Great video. Do you have video links for installation of your oil pressure gauge on your gr86. Does the oil pressure sensor fit right onto the Jackson racing sandwich plate, and where about on the plate?

Random question, can you share that AC vent oil pressure gauge? Also where is the sensor for it mounted? I'm probably going for a very similar setup. Thanks in advance!

What sandwich plate did you install? Do you have a link where you bought it? Because I want to install gauges on my gt86 too

Hey bro how did you figure out which fuse port is constant 12v which is ignition 12v? I’m planing on doing this to my Kia stinger thus I couldn’t copy your diagram due to a different vehicle😅😅. Thanks in advance!

I’m confused I’m in track mode and my cluster still doesn’t show the numeric temps of the oil and coolant. What am I doing wrong as to why it won’t show?

It's BRZ right? GR86 shows the numbers but BRZ shows bars.

Where did you get the gauge mount? Trying to do the same thing right now but for oil pressure. Thanks!

overall a little bit easier because of JDM lol

in my opinion is not a good idea to use teflon tape on engine oil, I tried on a motorcycle and it became a loose and sticky crap...

Actually in the instruction of the sandwich plate it says to use teflon tape and I haven't had any problem with them.
