I’ve had this shield for a few weeks. Ran across your post, I subbed and a thumbs up. Thanks for the video and sharing! Now I won’t bee so Leary of putting this thing on myself. Even at 74+ years some new stuff with these new tractors can be challenging as the older manual everything did have these things. Again, high five and look fwd to more videos.

you're welcome, thank you for watching and commenting! I am just like you, I can't get enough videos on the tractor. this little tractor has been a huge help for me on the homestead, with all the available attachments and accessories it's all I need.

I had the same issue not being able to get it set into the top position. I removed the small Kubota factory skid plate and was able to. raise the Under Armor enough to easily get the hight adjustment knob into the top position.

Thanks for the video. It helped me install my Armor. I never have used and never will use a MMM, so I learned what that knob does. Lol.

That looks like a good mod for a B2601. I don't have a plastic fan underneath but I worry about my filters and stuff in the woods. Lots of sticks and sometimes rocks. I think I can use 3/4 plywood for the main plate with some metal brackets maybe.

R Servoss, the shield MUST be taken back off to place the MMM back on - but it is a 30 second job to take off. Simple lower the TOP setting back to a lower number - lower the shield, unhook the spring loaded pins and you are ready to place the MMM back under.

It is indeed as simple as that to remove.

I bought that, but haven't got it on. My mower deck arms won't adjust, aren't connected to the know. So my 10 minute job didn't go as planned. I'll need to get a MMM manual online since I didn't buy one either. Tractor is out at farm, so I'll get to it when I figure it out. Its probably that knob you mentioned.

R Servoss... I was not able to "reply" to your comment but it is my understanding that the mid mount mower cannot be mounted with this plate. It was my understanding that the mower acts like armor itself. I don't have a mid mount mower so I opted to get this. I have read on the Facebook Kubota Tractor and equipment forum that there is another brand that can be used with the mower. Thanks for watching, stay safe.

Can the mid mount mower still be operated with this thing in place? Your clip is very helpful to explain just what the BXpanded plate looks like and does. Our fan got clipped at some time in the past and I have just replaced it (what a job!) don't care to do it again.

I just figured out my fan took a hit , no blades left in the middle of a paying brushhogging job , mine pays for itself , it's a working machine (made it a job ) ...hhhhmmm should I finish my mowing , or bring it home to fix it , and take it back to finish later ...I'm already paid too ..I kinda need to finish or call and explain my situation to the customer ....its tall too ....hmmmm

I like the simplicity of that can you tell me where it was bought from, and the price. Thank you.

Mech Uno I bought from internet BXPANDED.com I think it was around $160. it's called Under Armor.

Its funny because everyone says this is a MUST for any model BX even the newer models with the factory shield yet iv cleared and bulldozed more land with my BX than prolly most anyone and I have never had an issue and I do check my HST fans often for damage.. IDK if I'm just SUPER lucky or if I'm a good driver and pay attention or what but either way at some point ill prolly get this shield before my luck runs out; If nothing else its just a piece of mind. Check out some of my videos if anyone's interested and like/subscribe I post a new video once a week at a minimum.
