Thank you so much for taking the time to show the step-by-step process of installing a hallway door lever. I had watched another video in the past and they said to remove the tiny handle screw; that's where I knew I was in trouble because I couldn't get the screw back in to install the other handle. Months later, when I had courage to try this again, I came across your video and it was absolutely perfect. I did everything you said to do and I now have a beautifully working Kwikset lever for my halldoor. I also appreciate your clear instructions which made it so much better to understand what I was supposed to do. You're a wonderful teacher and I thank you so much for your excellent video. >^•.•^

Yes you can, but might need an extra hand to help. Good observation!

How to lock the door ? I can turn and lock but other side the kids are opening with coin. Is it something we can lock it permanently and can be opened only with key?

I guess it depends on the type of door handle. The one in the video (Kwikset Balboa Lever) requires an unlock key (see 0:52 in the video) in order to unlock it from the outside.

It doesn't work on left hand door.

According to Kwikset website "Fully reversible lever, can be installed on both right handed and left handed doors". The levers can be removed and placed on opposite sides.
