Thanks! Yea the white balance on GoPro is tough. Filters help it do a great job in clear water with plenty of sunlight but I much prefer the frame by frame color processing of the Ace Pro. I found both to be very similar in my limited testing. If you don’t need slow motion for the wrecks, I would choose 30FPS + HDR since you’ll be deeper without perfect vis. Or simply create two presets and try to record some scenes in both, however if 30fps is all you need that is going to do better in low light.

Hi. I think it depends what you're trying to do. The Ace Pro captures impressive underwater video, and the auto color correction plus AquaVision 2.0 in the Insta360 app makes it quick and easy to post to social. But if you want the 'drone' or '3rd person' views of a 360 camera, then go for the X4. You just need to be ok with the stitching and other 'sacrifices' you get in exchange for the benefits of 360 (e.g. shoot then frame later). Hope that helps

Thank you for the feedback. Certainly helpful for everyone comparing these cameras. If you didn't yet, check out my review with footage from both cameras shot at the exact same time (although at dive depths): kzread.info/dash/bejne/YnyF06Wwm9TVgtI.htmlsi=cIf6m7QsR6FW8WGC

Don t u need to put some colored filters like on the gopro for snorkeling or diving? Is the i.a automatically correcting the video?

Yes, the AI (AquaVision 2.0) is automatically correcting the footage so you don't need filters. Right now I don't know of any filters that fit the Ace Pro dive case. I'm sure some will be available at some point and we can then test and see whether they help the AI color-correction deliver even better color.
