Insta360 One R using Galaxy S10 and Tab S7+ never had a crash on camera or app. I have had issues with my 2015 Macbook pro 13" app. But yeah, it is a little more work to frame the video. Exporting takes a very long time through wifi!! I like how you can use the same 360 video to show you, then re-frame to show the ride. Looks like 2 separate cameras. I prefer the 360 over the 4k, just for the ability to re-frame.

Still cannot transfer to the local app so I don’t have the laggy editing. I’m not impressed with the 4K. Probably the worst out of all my action cameras. Not bad, just lagging slightly behind. I use it as a second angle in lower light situations. Thanks for watching.

Great info! Is the IOS the same for all three? I will get rid of the GH4 and Hero 4 Black and install 360 and DJI Ocusync on my large drones. I was totally convinced about the One R, but now I might look at the X2. X1 would most likely be sufficient, but the thread in the mount may be to weak for a drone...!?

Hi! I'm planning to get a pocket cam and I'm torn between insta360 one R and one X2. I do not currently own any action cams and the one R's modular design is tempting. However, it appears that the X2 is more durable since it comes in one piece. Given that I'm not sure when and if I will be able to buy the 1-inch sensor lens for the One R, would you think going for the X2 is better than going for the One R (twin edition)? Is the One R's 4k lens a lot better than the 360 lenses given that you can use the X2 as a normal front facing cam? Thanks in advance!

Chris Fox the 360 lenses have bad chromatic aberration, but if you watch the conditions you shoot in you should be fine. This is just my opinion, but I think the one r is more robust except for water. The action camera is a bonus that won’t be used often, but you will use it.

@@sixthisoverdrive Thank you so much for the response. From what I've seen with tons of reviews, the One R shines when used with the 1-inch mod. The dilemma is that I want to have both the 360 and regular video options. Going for the 1-inch mod will force me to buy a 360 mod since there is no bundle the same as the twin bundle. Budget is a bit of a concern too. I have seen videos showing the x2's quality is better than the 360 and 4k mod from the one r and not to mention the stitching is way better with the x2. Another concern is the compression issue with the 360 lenses. Does the 4k mod on the one R produce a true 4k res videos like the gopro hero does?

Chris Fox I don’t even think the 4K mod is as good as my osmo action...but here’s the thing. In the real world you’ll never see the difference of any action cams unless they are side by side, and even at that you might prefer one look over the other. Even the 360 offerings you are not going to notice in real life. However the 360 compared to the action lens you will notice, and the stabilization is a bit different with the 360 lenses.

I'm waiting for the one x2 to come to Best Buy so I can get there extended warranty plus I don't like insta360 return policy on the website seems like they will give you the run a round

Great video and hope this can reach a Wide Audience. Android users have always been neglected by INSTA360. They have brought "Edit" Adjustment feature to Apple Iphone Since Launch Which allows you to easily do fine tweaks Brightness.. Contrast.. Saturation.. Shadows.. Highlight Adjustments To Photo/Video before exporting. Guess what INSTA360 support said go use another third party app. Yet Iphone gets the latest updates features even on the "BIGGEST UPDATE" Android is left hanging and left out with missing key features showed in the Big update releases. Android is always a few Versions behind the current release for Iphone. CURRENTLY iOS v1.4.3 2020-11-01 Android v1.4.1 2020-10-30 Sometimes never even getting the missed updates and features. Such as simple Edit Adjustments option. The only Adjustment Editing option available on Android is the use of FILTERS ONLY. I still cannot follow One R Tutorials due to missing features Android is yet to get Months and Months later still missing. So Iphone has all the bells and whistles of the App no matter what. Misleading information from insta360 and Late and missing and neglected features that have never even made it to ANDROID App. Why must we be lied to and given false advertising? If you advertise that your Mobile APP AND CAMERA is completely compatible with both Android and Iphone but you continuously release The best and newest updates for iphone only first. Pretty Unfair treatment to Android Users that have invested in your Company, invested in your Camera. So unless you use Iphone you will never get the best App experience never get currently matched Quality, Features, Bug Fixes ETC. Hell Insta360 APP still uses Android Internal Storage ONLY and fills it up with no option to use my Expanded Micro SD Card with loads of free space just for this reason for huge Video Files and HDR Images. They still can't fix this issue. They still cant add certain features APPLE IPHONE has had for MONTHS now. If this is the Case Make it and IPHONE Only App.... oh no wait they will lose too much sales OH RIGHT... but yet still give unfair treatment to Android Users that have paid the same price for the device. Android is constantly Left behind and Neglected. Updates features should be matched on both Platforms. Android must be hated by insta360 and they only offer Android App for the extra sales they gain from Android users investing in them and they don't even reciprocate the support given to them from the Android community. Shameful for such a hugely popular 360 camera worldwide

Cheyen.S thanks for your comments. I also can’t download to the local file and they haven’t been any help at all. Quite often when I use things like freeze frame or clone trails it crashes a couple of times. They just stop trying to answer when they can’t fix something.

Thank you. All great points. Have been using Go Pro since the first one came out. Not the whole range. 3, 4, 7 and returned the 8. Switched to the Osmo Action, which i bought 3 months ago. Luckily I bought their insurance. The front screen was damaged. Stone chip. Had to wait about 3 weeks for the camera to be returned. All my cameras are used on my motorcycle. Then I started to become interested in a 360. Not sure which one. Decided on the Insta 360 one R X2. However, too many cons to buy one. Need to spend at least about $1000 Cdn to upgrade my computer. Then the camera at $600. Like the idea of the camera with all the bells and whistles. Going to stick with what I have. On a positive note. I had no trouble contacting Insta. Sent an email, replied with a super fast response. When I noticed they where online had a instant replies.

chris lee insta took 2 days to get back to me the first time I tried, and a few other times that I tried during the day. I tried to buy a camera from them and my credit card was shut down because of that. If you call later in the evening you’ll have good luck, but they often can’t help.
