INSPIRING FUTURE GENERATIONS TO APPRECIATE THE GREATEST GENERATION

See how the WWII Veterans History Project is making an impact on future generations by inspiring them to appreciate the Greatest Generation. Watch this uplifting video to see how our programs made a difference at a high school in Ohio!
During our recent visit to Mentor High School, Founder Benjamin Mack-Jackson made two presentations focusing on storytelling and how the WWII Veterans History Project is preserving the memories of a quickly fading generation of heroes.
After each presentation, students asked questions for more than an hour about the interview process and how to successfully speak to people in their community about topics of the past. It was inspiring to hear the thoughtful questions, and we were honored to help kick off Mentor High's year-long initiative that will culminate with the students conducting interviews in their community.
The students were enthusiastic about learning the history behind artifacts in our interactive history program, the Museum in a Box. Several hundred kids had the opportunity to learn history hands-on during our presentation.
Thank you to the faculty and staff at Mentor High for realizing the value of connecting generations and for inviting us to contribute to their important project.
