What a beautiful man. I love his spirit. I really believe that today's education needs to be changed drastically. More children need to be allowed to be allowed to study on what they love and are interested in most of all. I am 71 years old but I was very similar when I was young. All of my report cards said "Daydreams too much". It seems as I would project my body to the outdoors into the fields Forest and nature. I hated school. Luckily I made it through and graduated. Only by the skin of my teeth. I turned out okay. I have spent much of my life working in the Agricultural and Horticultural Fields subjects that I love. Even today at 71 and only one lung I spend much of my time Outdoors camping and hiking in nature. Thank you for this wonderful video. I love so much the work that you guys do.

My daughter who is now 8 yo, has been told to be a daydreamer several times, distracted and slow. When she's home she can go through 10 books in one sitting. I was usually impressed by this being a slow reader myself. As her mom, it's hard to hear these. I sometimes find that she needs a place somewhere where she can be herself.

You may be word blind but you are not blind to what is important in life. You are blessed beyond measure!

"Take a piece of this rock anywhere you would have a really nice picture on the wall." I so loved that he said that because I so often think the very same thing about lichen or bark, or the marks and lines on rocks, etc. It was heartwarming that I am not alone in this thinking. I had made the same comment to someone before once about lichen and they said I was crazy. Nice to know I have a soul brother somewhere in the world. Now I don't feel so different, now I feel privileged because we see the beauty others do not. We are the lucky ones. : )

He is a very wise man

He hit the nail on the head when he said he could not say that anyone else should do what he is doing, because t is what they are doing, which enables him to be able do what he is doing. This is a most profound thought he has expressed. Someone has to be working mundane jobs and pursuing money or society, as we know it, would crumble. He would not have heat or light in his home, any car to drive or the materials to make his art. Everyone contributes to the social web in their own way.

If I could only have this kind of conversation over a cup of coffee ☕🌧️🌿.

I have to wonder about the three people who did not like this. Its sad. To not see the beauty, something has to have gone really wrong.... This guy reminds me of my own boys. Always drawing, playing music, exploring life.

I love how this guy is dyslexic, yet can teach a class of young people. I love to write, yet couldn't stand up in a classroom of kids! Just goes to show again, how we must pursue our own passions and dreams to make ourselves happy, and not fit into a box made by other people! :)
