Inspector Fisi - Part 3

Corruption kills. Never has that statement been more true than when one witnesses what goes on unabated daily on Kenyan roads: matatu crews paying off traffic police officers so that they can look the other way or traffic police officers openly soliciting for bribes in order to look the other way.

Great work Namu and team! This is exactly what happens on our roads. Thanks for being that voice and eye that says and shows what we are afraid to say and voice out. A fear that is driving this country to the dogs. We as a Kenyan society I feel are becoming less and less empathetic. For instance some of these 'law enforcers' or police are fathers and mothers stealing from other fathers and mothers. How do they expect the society to survive. Truly a man eat man society. Kenyans we have to stop this. From this show I see how it's to my benefit to pay cash bail to the government and follow the justice system(which will then finally work) and get good roads and lighting and hospitals and water than throw 500million a month in some pockets. What a waste of money!

Nice documentary. The flow is amazing and the suspense is killing me. For the touts who give out bribes, you guys have to remember that izo gari hazikuangi zao. They are expected to produce a certain amount of money at the end of the day, so telling them to stop might mean no work the next day if the car is impounded. I really hope that this documentary is evidence enough for the leaders of the police service that they need to work on their boys. Its salvageable, that am certain. I hold on to my hope of a good Kenya in the future.

Pole kwa msiba mwanzo, even though our dear country with corruption can't be separated. Madam, people live, eat, educate, with corruption, and if the country want to change the way life, it has to start with ourselves. Otherwise, if we don't see it in ourselves n we do it, we shall keep talking and blaming the justice system without solving the problem. Mind you even in prison and morgue's in case you want things right, there must be kitu. It's kila mtu na mungu wake as wanavyo Sema.

Considering this is an election period..if u r voting based on a party consider yourself guilty of abetting this behavior. Likewise if you are voting based on tribal affiliations. For instance, it perplexes me that in a county such as Nairobi voters are willing to vote for Kidero or Sonko..two individuals with quite questionable backgrounds even though the same voters have an alternative in Miguna. And by the way the people supporting Kidero & Sonko are not uneducated as most would like us to believe. These are educated, middle class Kenyans blinded by tribalist inclinations. As you complain how awful this practice in the video is, ask yourself what your contribution has been... In terms of axercabiting or reducing it reflected by your voting patterns.

John as ever is a brave and very courageous journalist. I'm not sure we appreciate such people enough. The job he does in these exposes is immense. The rot in our country is so deep and our leaders simply don't care. Once money exchanges hands, motorists are left to die like dogs. Kenyans, we need to speak up against this otherwise we will keep burying our loved ones. This is one of those ways people die that we can prevent. Shame on those cops. They're a disgrace to the nation.

The greed manifested by the officers featured in this video is driven by genuine need, attributed by a failed system to cater for their ever shifting needs, and encouraged by the public. Kenyans talk of Justice but fear judicial processes.

Painting our officers in such a venomous manner is just crude. Sorry to your Aunt, Namu, but that has nothing to do with cops. Come on, this documentary gets dumber by the episode! Let's respect our officers. Arrest those that give bribes!
