I mean, vin occasionally has good taste. Occasionally. But the korn is deep in his heart. I wonder how he'd enjoy coal chamber? Big truck Sori generally speaking does have a more refined taste in music. Soaring epic melodies she can drift off on. Vin likes a groove. It's why they've both liked at the gates and mgła so much. Ticks both sets of boxes. And behemoth too really. Feral/epic for sori. groove or clever lyrics/musicianship for vin. And the metal police eye that second category carefully

I think this melancholy comes from nature but also our history. There are a lot of wars we've had and struggling with being poor and hard work to survive. If you compare slavic melancoly and finnish melancoly... I have said that in slavic music you play happily in minor, but in in finnish music we play sadly in minor. 😊

It's a good feeling and at the same time it makes us think about life, missing someone, problems, rush of work and Love , of course other things. It's a beautiful composition of this band and very good! I have always enjoyed it and they continue to make unique songs and represent the melodic metal. Great video and hugs! ;)

Insomnium’s discography is really worth reviewing. And I think Sori will connect with their storytelling, which swirls around the human condition and the struggle of days gone by. Despite being a “doom metal” band, there’s something inspiring about their music. Insomnium’s melodic riffs, mixed with thrash roots and contrasted with both death and clean vocals makes them very interesting. I guess I’m a fan. I hope you do a few more.

In my opinion, the best melodic death metal band bar none. The vocals, the way the riffs sing, the emotions their music create cover every conceivable feeling there is - happiness, anger, joy, sorrow, the whole thing. For years I have associated their songs with periods in my life and losses, and it’s upsetting but also lifting. Now, Insomnium make me feel like a King, I’ve listened to metal for 32 years, from Iron Maiden when I was 13, and these guys are and always will be my absolute number one because of the quality of song writing and those emotions. Great review as always guys, love watching you and so chuffed that you’ve discovered this incredible band. 👍🏻🤘🏻👌🏻

Personally, I am more into their older stuff(first 3 albums were amazing), but yea great melodeath band. I vividly recall rocking to "The Elder' and 'Daughter of the moon' . Their lyrics are so meaningful tho...got me through some hard times. Great pick. Take care guys!

Thank you guys, I really needed this, truly. All my life I've known who I am, but it wasn't till recently I discovered "why" I am. I realized how I have been the architect of my own downfalls. Knowing that is starting to help me move forward with my life and my love. This song reminds me of the chances that I have now to fix certain problems I've had before it's too late. No, you can't go back that's for sure, but you can move forward and become the person that God meant for you to be. To be happy, to be loved and to return that without restriction or regret. I guess that's the thing that got to me in this song, I have enough regrets already and now I feel that I can move on now knowing why I am this way. This is a subject that has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks so this review came at a great time! I hear more and more people say that God doesn't talk to us anymore, no we just need to remember how to listen. Much love and God bless!

Where did you tap in through this song? You guys are amazing going into your feelings in front of the camera after listening to a song which opened a door. Much respect for your very personal insight. Exactly what happens to me always while listening to deeper "metal". Can relate to your insights.

Whei ho, nice reaction, and also nice to see more deep emotions on a song like this. For all the songs i know from Insomnium one of the main aspects of their lyrics always are these deep and dark emotional sides.(Lose to Night, Ephemeral, .....) And Vin's habit of listening and remembering what others say... might be unusal for americans, but here in Germany it's more common to know much stuff about your friends and mates, maybe Vin has some German DNS? :D Btw... "Ephemeral"s Lyrics are probably the most positive ones Ville Friman(one of the 3 songwriters) ever wrote, according to his own saying.

You can't fully listen to the energy in this song without listening to the Primeval Dark first. It carries into this song. My favorite song though from this album is The River. Extremely beautiful.

I saw this band last summer. They were amazing. To me this song is about the fuck ups or joys in your life. To forget about regrets and leave nostalgia behind but at the same time slow down and enjoy the moment.

This song gave me so much strength when my mother passed away. It was released a few days after that. But I never read the lyrics to it. Today I read them for the first time ever and I had to struggle with my tears how the lyrics matched to my feelings during the time. What an amazing song!
