Insightful Socrates Quotes to help you THINK and LIVE for YOURSELF (Ancient Philosophy Life Lessons)

Asking the right question is half of the answer! This is a very simple but surprisingly profound idea that is one the most important foundations of western philosophy, which is introduced and practiced by Socrates, a famous Greek philosopher, who lived around 400 BC.
In this video, you’ll find some of the best, greatest, and life changing Socrates quotes on a variety of subjects such as life, wisdom, happiness, wealth, friends, people, and the world that can help you live a better life by learning how to think for yourself, start wondering and asking questions about life and the world around you, and as a result, start your journey of acquiring true wisdom.
Socrates was a Greek philosopher and scientist in the 5th century BC, who is one of the most famous thinkers in history. He is considered one of the founders of Western philosophy, and his contributions to Western thought have been significant. He is famous for his method of questioning people, called the Socratic Method, which involved asking questions to help people reach their own conclusions about things.
Socrates believed that the best way to live a good life was by questioning what you've been taught and forming your own opinions. He encouraged others to do this as well - in fact, he would often ask people questions that led them to realize their own ignorance and then help them correct it.
His noble ideas and philosophies helped influence some of the most famous philosophers in history such as Plato, Aristotle, and Zeno (who is known as one of the founders of Stoicism philosophy). His simple but thought-provoking and deep insights about how we think and reason, are still being studied, used, and referenced by philosophers and psychologists to this date, which shows the depth of his teaching and ideas.
In this video, I’ve compiled over 100 of the greatest and most famous Socrates quotes that if you learn (and apply) in your life and the way you think, can greatly improve your critical thinking abilities which could help you lead a happier, healthier, wealthiest and more meaningful life.
I put a lot of work, effort, and energy into making this video. I hope you find these quotes helpful and enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making this video. Thank you for watching!

yes; I like this one. I worked retail for Commission; but I was not a pushy one. An unfriendly woman came up to me with a question or two; and I left her to shop. I gave her a dressing room and left her "alone". When checking out, she thanked me for leaving her "alone", as she had had a horrible day. She had visited her mother in hospital. Her mom was dying of cancer. I'll never forget this; as one never knows what kind of day an unfriendly person has endured.

...Soctrates, why are some of us drawn to one ancient philosopher or another?! ...' To know is to know nothing.. the meaning of true knowledge. ' - Socrates. Interpreted in many ways, this quote (imo) sums up Soctratic thinking; the ability to freely think and still not find an answer - is, was, will always be 'his' method. I'm not a philosopher and never will be, but surely his legacy to open question 'did' set a stage for Plato & Aristotle among others... I need to record every single quote in this upload that's been shared, thanks to yourself (meaning many re-watches of it.) Thank you, I've subscribed for more of your inciteful uploads.

(We are in the end of times. Repent and be baptized. Turn to God.) Matthew 3:2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Isaiah 45:22 Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Pray and fast) Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Joel 2:12 “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” (Turn to Jesus while there is still time.) John 14:6-7 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed Luke 18:20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’” (Follow the Two Greatest Commandments) Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (These will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (The absolute truth of God's Word) Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Romans 10:17Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (Present Signs) Luke 21:20 When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. Matthew 24:4-5 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Luke 21:10 -11Then He said "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, then the end will come. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. (God's anger through weather) Psalms 18:7-12 The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind. He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him- the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning. (Deny yourself to be a follower of Christ) Mark 8:34-35 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. (Confess Christ) Matthew 10:32-33 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. (God demonstrated His Own Love for us) Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Help others in need) Romans 12:13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Keep the Sabbath Day Holy) Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Make disciples of ALL nations.Spread the gospel. Matthew 28:19-20 I suggest to download the audio Youversion Bible app & have it playing day & night when you sleep to learn & stay in tune of God's Word. Stay in prayer and repent. Questions, Prayer requests, Bible study or just to talk about God, our Creator. See my page or email: beprepared100 at yahoo. I'm sharing the Word of God.
