Insider Review - The Gritti Palace Venice (the RARE Serenissima Suite and FANTASTIC Breakfast)
One of our favorite hotel stays in Italy was at The Gritti Palace, The Luxury Collection due to its great location in Venice, but also for it's fantastic room experience and outstanding breakfast.
Bernard and I really wanted to have a nice Anniversary of our 5 year relationship so we wanted to do something extra special. Generally the the rooms in the Gritti Palace are super expensive, but we used our BONVOY points to book and since there was a sale, it was a GREAT DEAL! We only spent 60,000 Bonvoy points to book a basic room.
When we arrived we were informed of our upgrade because of our Titanium Status, but were not told exactly which room. We were super surprised to be upgraded to one of their signature suites which costs 2,000 USD per night! In addition to such a great room, we got a bottle of champagne, fruits and flowers for our anniversary.
Breakfast was included with our status, and it was quite memorable with the amazing views of the gondolas in the water. One of the best highlights of our Venice Trip!

We started our trip back in April 2, 2019 from New York City. We quit our 9-6 jobs, sold all of our belongings, and began traveling full time. We left our jobs because we were unable to be with family and enjoy life. Work was taking up too much time and something had to change. We saved up for 2 years and began traveling as soon as we found a deal that would take us around the world for just $285.00. We started this #travelvlog to share our adventures with friends and family. At the one year mark, we realized that we had only scratched the surface and there was still so much to see. What a beautiful hotel. I love that they upgraded your stay! That is awesome! You must of left like kings! I love how they kept the historical pieces...and that bathroom is just so luxe...and to top it all off with an amazing breakfast just makes the stay just perfect! Great tour!

It was SO beautiful! We felt amazing and it was great to get the upgrade for our anniversary. Yes we agree, if the hotel is nice that is great, but the breakfast makes it or breaks it! We try to make sure that it's all good before we book :).

We didn't want to leave, but Venice is super beautiful and there is always so much to see! We were lucky to get the room for free with points and then we got an upgrade making it extra special!!!

Way to celebrate 5 years! Awesome tile :) They did a great job with the remodel and keeping all the historic charm! The bathroom is insane! So many options for breakfast it looked so good!

Yes, this place was absolutely perfect for our anniversary! If you guys want to go to Venice and stay on points for a nice NICE experience, we highly recommend this location!
Its nice to arrive by water. If the Grand Canal is not rough with traffic. The staff are so nice and at the same time so unobtrusive, you very really see anyone from the cleaning team. We stayed for a week and each day the flowers were changed and a new gift was on the dresser, a box of Gritti chocolates was the one I enjoyed the most.

HAHA THAT is what happened to us! You should look at our Instagram. There was so many picture opportunities and we loved our stay. The breakfast was amazing too!

It is super nice! Best of all it was pretty much for free!!! We hoped to stay, but when you are in Venice, there is so much to see and you want to keep exploring. We love the EGGS BENEDICT! You should make it on your channel with a twist ;).

Oh my goodness that room is beautiful and the view from the balcony is almost picture perfect for me. I'm used to maybe a marble sink or counter top but not a whole marble bathroom, haha. That spread of food was crazy and again I'm left hungry after watching one of your videos. Thanks for sharing!

Wow what a luxurious place to stay. I love any showers that have multiple shower heads, incredible! It's 10:30pm and I want a croissant now lol. Congrats on 5 years you two! :)

Hah, I guess we just keep encouraging others to eat! There was one hotel we went to that have 4 types of shower head and even one that gave you a back massage. It was magical! I just realized this year would be our full 6 years together!

OMG, $2000 per night room. What an amazing anniversary gift / celebration for you two love birds. You guys are the masters of the one night stays 😂😂😂. I must admit you are making memories of a lifetime and will always be able to enjoy the memories for years to come. The outdoor balcony was amazing too. You two do the property justice with your tour. Thanks for letting me see that I will never be able to experience in person. 😁😁. Sad I didn’t get to see the large bathtub for two in use 🤪

Don't say that! You will definitely experience it only if you want to! We actually have some other more epic bathtubs that we can share in future videos. This one was tucked away. Others have a fantastic view! Great example is the one for PANAMA CITY W! You should see that epic room!

Wow, what a suite! It looks like you guys stayed a night at a palace! Great way to spend your anniversary 😊 Wedee trying to get to the balcony was priceless 😂 The bathroom looks so luxurious! Time to learn how to use a bidet 😄 B, we'd be stuffed too if we went to breakfast with such a wide choice, we always want to taste everything!

She is super fancy! We also pretty much got to stay there for free. (With points) and we got an amazing upgrade so it was all too perfect! Highly recommended if you ever go to Venice for a nice holiday.

The history is super interesting. The hardest part for us was knowing that a lot of the lower levels of the hotel was destroyed due to the high rising waters in Venice. It was so sad. Thanks for watching!
Damn guys how do you live this life?! One minute you're in the US, next Vietnam and now Venice!! And not only that but hopping from a fancy hotel (fancier than I've ever been by the way) then to a hostel and then back to luxury hotels, you guys really do it all!! Awesome job as always! :D

Thanks buddy! We loved our stay there. We teach points hacking and mileage run to get the most out of hotels and flights. It works out well as we have gotten so many free things and experience things we never thought we could. Generally this room goes for 2,000 USD a night and we got it for free!

Except for the walk-in shower (which I love), I had a bathroom similar to that at the Santa Maria Novella Hotel in Florence, Italy. It was magnificent.

well....that room is massive isn't it?! Holy cow. Do they charge for use of the mini bar? The set-up is amazing. Between the furniture and just the decorative walls it looks like walking back into a wealthy italian aristocrats estate. You just had to mention the bath was big enough for 2 huh? Lol I see where y'alls heads are at. That's totally me at 5:40 trying to open the damn door and doing it wrong. I think I did something similar in Germany my first time overseas. Since you guys have the only balcony you now have an obligation to serenade people as they walk by. I want to see that video.

They usually charge for mini-bar = yes. Some places to do not, but we did get prosecco, water and sparking water all comped. HAHAH THE BATH IS BIG just in case a lovely couple wanted to make their experience "EXTRA special". In terms of serenade, I don't think you'd want to hear us sing. You would more likely pay us to stop. HAHAHA.
