Here in Bangalore I use to walk 8 kms round trip from my PG to my classes everyday just for the sake of fitness. And the fun part is, by default I contribute a little in environment. If I had the cycle lane, then maybe I could save some time too.

in my child hood i could use cycle in bangalore. but from 2010 due to the IT boom in bangalore, i couldn't ride cycle without hitting 10 cars. luckily i moved to the US and it is very good here for cycling.

I used cycle for college but some frnds laugh on me 🙄 But who cares 😜

Cycling track in Bhubaneswar is now used for parking . I was happy when they started building that but it is again either used as vehicle track or parking. so Indian mentality of chor na kya hoga aur chalta hai is the main problem

They just tried it because of hockey world cup. There were cycles provided by govt. Now there's rarely any left or i dont think anybody even uses them.

Advantages : 1) No Pollution 2) No need of spending money on fuel 3) Cycles are cheaper than cars and also less maintenance 4) Good Health 5) No Accidents 6) More People can travel on the same size of roads 7) Will look like a more organised city (You can add more if anything is left out)

My grandfather is from Holland, near Amsterdam 😍 Nice to see you there. I hope you tried Dutch Pancakes (the savoury ones with meat... Not the "Space Pancakes"). Bike idea would be hard here because of land (road) encroachment and cars are status symbols. But I wish it would happen, we need less cars on the roads

@Bending Reality I brought the bicycle from my first salary . I used it for the market and gym. As the bicycle is super smooth and comfortable. And I started using it for office journey. As people concern, i find metropolitan people are appreciating and nonjudgemental. Just initiate the move that's it.

Solution: We have Metros in maximum cities so we can have free cycle stand at Metro station so we can use cycle + public transport. This will reduce the usage of private vehicles.

I used to cycle for 16 kms daily to commute to office from amersfoort to baarn, and i really liked the experience as i did that over 2.5 months in the netherlands, really appreciate your effort to bring this up for many more people who might not be aware of it.

Bhubaneswar is almost fully covered with cycle path but it is used for parking

I think that first governments will have to motivate people for this and make it mandatory that you have to ride a bicycle on this day and people should also support it and encourage children to ride bicycles in all schools. And the teachers should know the cycle properly.

@@faizkhan546 It's actually called time dilation and it's not possible to time travel ever because anything that has mass cannot go at speed of light and if you want to go into past or future you have to be faster than speed of light which is literally impossible. Unless someone else is going really fast then due to time dilation they will watch the video slower as their 1 second is slower than your 1 second

I live in Ghaziabad(Indirapuram) UP, here cycle tracks were made by Samajwadi Party, but when Yogi Adityanath won election he broke all the cycle tracks as according to him they were creating blockage on roads. We can't expect anything like this in India. Lol

Sahil you cannot compare population of Netherlands with India.... population of Netherlands is equal to population of Noida or may be less... everyone pays tax.... in Netherlands everyone pays tax there isn't any illegal migrants.... even yeh bosadiwaala bhi tax pay karta hai.... in short, Netherlands has CAA and NPR.... @thor.... after CAA and NPR atleast we will be aware that waht exactly is our population.... is it 1.3 billion or 1 billion or whatever.... everyone has limited resources if you keep on adding illegal migrants than we have to suffer with resources, job, oppurtunity as we have to feed them as well.... you cannot ignore what is going on in bengal kerala.... where bangladeshi and rohingyas are getting settled.... do you really want pakistani, afghanis, Bangladeshi and rohingyas to get settled in India.

One good news druv bhai i am from Hyderabad and that intiative which was planned in Hyderabad had been successfully completed there is no car or bikes allowed near Charminar. I hope we see more such projects not only in delhi or Hyderabad but across india as well

One similar action has been implemented in my city Hazaribagh, Jharkhand too, a leisure park has restricted entry of vehicles and allowed only cycles inside the perimeter because of which there is plenty of space to walk freely in the absence of noise, pollution and traffic.

I can say that he tried...which is very good...but the actual engineers might have messed it up as in between cycle tracks there were trees and all kinds of blockage..so people who even wanted to use it weren't able to... cigarettes ki gumti bhi wahi khul gyi thi...In this case you cannot blame politicans...people are problem

This would be like dream come true. I waste so much money on Auto in Bangalore for short distances because I am scared of riding a bicycle on road due to traffic and accidents. Also, so many 2 wheelers even auto walas don’t even leave foot paths and drive on them to reach faster. So making bicycle lanes is huge challenge and then once they are made, so many other vehicles will anyway start misusing it.

have you heard about electric bicycles? they are becoming quite popular in India, I have tried them in bangalore too and works great. top speed is 25kmph, charge the battery at home. no need to pedal. its quite fun and cheap (just 10paisa per km)

Mean while it's implemented in India: Chalo ye log apna cycle chalaenge ham to apne gaadi me mast. **Every person starts to think like that and thus failed to be implemented**
