My first F1 experience was the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, which was also the first night race in F1. My second F1 experience was first Indian Grand Prix in 2011, where I was a Fire Marshal and extinguished the fire of Massa's Ferrari. My fourth F1 experience was the Indian Grand Prix in 2013, the last F1 race in the country on my birthday. My last F1 race experience was at the fastest race track of Monza in 2019.

Being F1 fan, I remember Indian grand prix 2011 in Buddh international circuit ( First F1 track in India, one of good things done in BSP government) It hosted 3 championships and Sebastian Vettel won them all. Last of them happened in 2013 . Track also hosted few T1 races and motorcycle races but I guess circuit has much more potential.

Being an Indian F1 Content creator it's amazing to see you cover this Dhruv, nothing better than more Indians becoming aware about F1

You forgot about how there was an Indian Grand Prix in Delhi, which raced on a purpose built race track. The reason they took it off the f1 colander in 2014 was because the Indian government were charging the F1 with entertainment tax and not taking it as a sport. There were also other small factors that lead to the closure such as Indian not having a big f1 fan base, but the entertainment tax really killed off the Indian Grand Prix. It will be missed. It was really nice layout for a track.

There's a lot of things u didn't mention like DRS in F1, Qualifying, India's history in F1 as host in Buddh International Circuit and Championship won by Sebastian Vettel in India, Strategy, Pitstop and crew. Btw an excellent video, so informative

As an F1 fan from India, I am glad you picked this topic but the structure could have been simpler to explain to novices and to people who have no clue about F1 (except that it has fast cars racing each other). Better to explain rules and points system first, the fact that there are 10 teams with 2 drivers each, who are the main players today n all. I think the history part and the owner/engine manufacturer things could have been deferred to Formula 1- 2.0 video. Cramming everything in one video may have confused non-fans

Great informative video! You could have also talked about the F1 races that happened in India and how the then governments levied extra taxes to not make it happen ever again. We also have an F1 circuit in Delhi called the Buddha circuit. F1 streaming rights was also a recent controversy that could've been talked about in the video so that new fans could know when and where to watch the futures F1 races. Thank you for the video regardless!

One more thing to note : Each F1 Car is unique to the driver that’s gonna drive it. Meaning, if Max Verstappen uses his car then, the seat will be moulded as per his body shape to maximise the efficiency. So, the drivers also have to be in a good shape and have utmost fitness level. So each seat in an F1 car varies from driver to driver.

F1 is as much a tech competition as it is a marketing fair. You raised the point that some people say that the car is more important than driver skill. This is a very hot debate however this is my take as a f1 viewer of over a decade. Both of these things are completely interlinked. Consider your alonso example, after renault where he won 2 championships he went to Mclaren for 2007. It was his choice and while they had a competent car, there was so much political infighting that Ferrari with Raikonnen (driver's name) won that year. Also beyond such factors, drivers are also partly responsible for car performance. They are a part of the development process which for each season starts a year sometimes 2 years in advance and this influence that they exert on the development in part makes the car what it is. Some are really good at it, for example Senna who spent hundereds of hours with his team explaining everything he felt in the car every bump and every judder so that they could make the car better. It is these drivers who are able to understand, analyse and then advise about the development process consistently month after month are the ones who win consistently year after year. This not just requires technical knowledge but also the ability and disposition to share and advise the team building the car. So yes both are 100% interlinked and to win consistently the team needs amazing engineers and amazing drivers.
