Inside The World's Biggest Passenger Plane
Ғылым және технология
At 73 metres in length, and with an 80 metre wingspan, the Airbus A380 is the world’s largest ever passenger plane. Travelling at speeds of over 700 mph, this jumbo jet can transport you between countries in utter luxury. But how exactly is life inside an A380?
Global giant, British Airways, runs a fleet of these feats of engineering, setting the standard for Economy comfort in the industry. Passengers will be immediately greeted with a double width staircase towards the front of the plane, one of the first of its type, and of course leading to the A380’s famous upper deck.
Throughout the cabin, LED lights provide the most energy efficient lighting solution. These can be controlled to mimic different scenes, or moods, such as sunset and sunrise, to help prevent fatigue among passengers, helping with the changing time zones.
Plenty of natural light also enters the cabin during daylight hours through the exceptionally large windows, which are larger than most other aircrafts’.

@@BillAnt I’ve been on loads of A380’s. The business class on emirates is lovely, I flew that once, or twice. But, I fly economy on them too. Economy on an A380….is exactly the same as economy on the 747! Lol. It’s still cramped, still boring long haul, and the food is still like cardboard. I've flown on the A380 with Qantas and Singapore Airlines. Even in economy class it is spacious and comfortable. Food, entertainment and service on both airlines were excellent. But what I loved on Singapore airlines was after dinner all the meal trays had been collected and we were settling to watch a movie and the cabin crew came through the cabin with boxes of Magnum ice creams and gave one to each passenger as they did so they smiled to everyone and had a very warm attitude this seemed to make everyone relaxed and happy.

I live near JFK and see these all the time. They aren't quieter, but they are just as loud as the smaller jets with only 2 engines, which is kinda impressive.
I flew on an A380 from LA to Korea and then on the return trip. I was in economy class so the experience wasn't fantastic but it is a huge airplane and I'm sure the luxury sections were very nice.
Taking a trip on an Airbus 380 is definitely on my bucket list!
I have flown on this equipment several times and when I flew out to Europe the first and most important detail was that I flew on this, the Airbus A380 800! Usually Lufthansa. Unlimited wine and champagne in coach class, Real cutlery absolutely the best, in coach class !

It's not called equipment, it's called a plane.

@cranegantry868 actually, some airlines refer to their planes as "equipment." Not sure why.
It’s just a shame it was built 20 years too late and is being retired from most fleets before reaching its 10th birthday. Like Concorde, it was a nice plane but came at the wrong time.

I used to single handedly make the kits used to protect the wings during transportation from the UK to France. 9 years doing that Inc the very last A380 every made. Small claim to fame I guess

I worked for a short period as a compliance officer for an aviation recruitment company and all the engineers loved the airbus. Pretty nice space to play with…
I like the variable lighting.
239 ft long! It's gorgeous!
If I'm paying $40,000 for a ticket, why the heck would I sleep. 4:30
