It’s hard to fathom why a mature adult would believe absurd Stone Age ghost stories about talking snakes, golem spell dirt men, enchanted fruit, food falling from the sky, a female salt shaker, talking donkeys, Noah's magic zoo boat, ghost sex, alien landings, zombies, magic hair, magical goblins, giants (Bigfoot), magically multiplying food, magic blood, an invisible magic kingdom, the heebie-jeebies, 900 year old humans, and a man who lived in a fish.

@@rkooyers It's hard to believe why a mature adult would believe that the world just happened by accident. Especially since the odds are 10⁶⁴-1 against that happening. The evidence of intelligent design is everywhere you look. Yet not ONE fossil of ANY intermediate species between zoological families has ever been found. But plenty of evidence, thousands upon thousands of pieces of evidence has been found to support the Biblical narrative. It's mind boggling to me that people will make up fantastically ridiculous explanations, and contort science and reality to go out of their way to come up with a narrative, ANY narrative that excludes intelligent design from the equation. Unless and until you can come up with a plausible explanation for how a bumblebee is able to fly, or how the bombardier beetle was able to evolve into it's current form, or how a dinosaur footprint came to overlay the heel portion of a human footprint. How about how the pressure of a pocket of crude oil could have lasted so long, when it's rate of pressure dispersion clearly shows that it should have no longer been under pressure after only 10,000 years, yet the current theory claims that the pocket is millions of years old. And myriad other scientific anomalies that the current scientific paradigm just can't explain away, no matter HOW hard they try to hide, manipulate, alter, repress, ignore, or destroy the evidence of them. That's why, in the last few decades, they have added "peer review" to the scientific process. This puts the kibosh on any scientific revelations or paradigm shifting evidence that would have the potential to alter the narrative. In short; science, true innovative, revolutionary science is DEAD. Only evidence and experiments that fit the narrative is now acceptable for distribution. And if you discover something that flies in the face of that narrative, sucks to be YOU, you won't be able to get it past peer review.

It was not an easy life at all. Full of strife, violence, barbarism, diseases. It was the most difficult life plus they were the cruel and brutal Romans to deal with. Seems like Jesus always had one of the most difficult life ever lived. He grew up as a poor carpenter, began teaching when he was 30 and was murdered in the most gruesome way.

As an Israeli and jew I am very happy to see such great history told about my people and our country. There is many great lessons for us all to take from this kind of history lessons; Most importantly Peace and respect to everyone! We are all on this earth together and whatever differences we have among us are very small. For anyone who plans to visit Israel in the future; one small piece of advice; rent a car and go to the North sea of Galalie; most tourist just go to tel aviv, Jerusalem and dead sea. You are missing the most beautiful part the Sea of Galalie and golan heights.

And secondly my 70 year old grandparents went there with another elderly couple in 2016 or 2017 and spent two weeks visiting all the holy places and said they had the time of their life... visited Jerusalem, capernaum, the dead sea and I think Bethlehem...im sure it would suck to be there in the middle of a rocket/ artillary bombardment from hamas/Iran. But that's the chance you take. Ive not yet been to Israel....how many times have you been?

Using urine was not just a Roman Technique. Its been used for fabrics up until about 150 - 200 years ago (give or take). It was especially used for dying fabrics. The ammonia is what helped set the dye into the fabric. Bleach also has ammonia in it which is probably why they used it to wash whites (and by they I mean both the Romans AND modern people, I wouldn't doubt the technique goes back further than Rome).

Really? Because all I see is propaganda and lies. Camels are native to North America. They supposedly weren't brought to Africa and Asia until after 1492. So how did the ancients have camels? The ancients were very adept in surgery, science, etc. They performed successful cataract surgery, lung surgery, brain surgery, etc. They had antibiotics in their beer, Egyptian beer had more antibiotics in it than today's amoxacillin. They also had honey. They had opium cake, morphine, codeine, Laudrum,, weed, blue lotus, psychedelic and more freedom to use them than we do. Oh and their doctors, if they failed, had their hand chopped off. They even had two types of doctors. The doctors who treated from the outside, lotions ointments in skin, and the internal doctors. Those whom gave medicine to be taken internally. If Jesus traveled through Egypt he knew drinking Egyptian beer could cure infection. The reason we have a higher living rate is because we seperate our reasons for death. We don't count deaths in war, birth, old age, natural causes. They counted everyone. Dead was dead to them.

All my life people have been saying Jesus was a carpenter. Given the scarcity of trees where He lived, I think he was a CABINETMAKER, not a carpenter. That is like the difference between a butcher and a surgeon. They both cut meat, yes, but a world of difference.

A general builder. Ironically, in UK at least, such men are relatively rare in Christian churches. Plenty of doctors, not many manual trades like carpenters, builders, scaffolders, tent makers. Historically, lots of fishermen were believers, especially when it was very dangerous; don't think many professional UK trawlermen are churchgoing Christians nowadays. Just found an old book, Why Men Hate Going To Church by Ed Murrow. Read it a few years ago. Very relevant. Lent it to a friend who practically ripped it out of my hand when I found it. The anti-Christian Bible Belt right in USA is a very big off-putting factor even for people who read their Bibles - they see how Biblical thinking is distorted today and conclude it's irrelevant at best and harmful at worst. Takes a long time of carefully reading and showing writers like Kenneth Bailey to get around the false witness of tele-evangelists

You can bet not all bread was properly cooked so dem worms are still alive and you just ATE IT. You would not be constipated, & never wear a white wrap ever again. This is what they call the "good old days?" . Taxes happened back in Ancient Egypt so +2000 years BEFORE Rome came into existence. It has been in the Sumerian culture that is also as old as Egypt. So taxes have been since the dawn of mankind. Rome was not special. I have eaten Tilapia fish and it felt like I was eating sand. Not especially "fishy" tasting.

Jesus's disciples knew Jesus was fully God as well as being fully man. The fact that Jesus prophesied his own death and resurrection from the dead and it was witnessed by many, proved he was God. Many of these witnesses left us their writings as historical proof. There are far more recovered documents of these writings than any other historical person in antiquity.

If you want to visit the Scriptural Promised Land, then you need to head to Central and South Africa. Is Ra El is okay, but not the described land of Scripture. Nor does it have the animals of Scripture, nor the dozens and dozens, more likely hundreds of cities of Scripture, nor the mountain range of Scripture, nor the jungle and rivers of Scripture, nor the trees of Scripture, nor the VAST LAND MASS of the Promised Land, nor the eastern sea of Scripture, nor the Sea of Reeds, neither was the land parted as what happened in Africa with the grab for Africa by other nations. The original language of Scripture was Bantu and the 'hebrew' language stole from these Bantu languages.
