Luke 8:17. Growing up in a Christian school, I remember my pastor and teachers over those years teach that Christ Jesus traveled over the lands that He may be known to man to tell the wonders of His Father (whom most call God, Creator of all things) so for me, this video is a good representation of the possibility of the findings of Christ's existence. For example Simcha's video doesn't say anything about Isaiah, who talks about Jesus 400 years before, and he would die for 30 coins of silver, he would be crucified. Now he talks about Jesus might be inspired by this Gabriel per Simcha's research. Now, I must tell you if you go to Israel, you find all these dealers that sell these supposed artifacts from old times. All ancient Jews would have known about the prophecies about the Messiah. Just the fact Simon was from Parea disqualifies him. Also, when was he raised from the dead? We are told in scripture there would be many to claim to be the Messiah. It is a question of faith.

He definitely thinks outside the box, but to claim he is objective and just follows the evidence is an actual joke. Like a lot of "investigate reporters" who end up writing books or creating documentaries, he asks "can this thing be true" then goes on to act as if it's obviously true. He accepts science where it fits his hypothesis, religion where it doesn't, takes scripture literally when it fits and allegorically when that suits. All the experts have gotten it wrong for decades and this one guy somehow has trumped them all. He's really a conspiracy theorist masquerading as an objective reporter.

He is just as bad as the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" a book entirely based on a proven and admitted hoax. Yet, last I saw, the authors never admitted they had been had. That's the problem with people like this. They believe what they want, cherry picks what fits, and no amount of evidence to the contrary will ever convince otherwise. Too many people like that.

It was interesting to see a parable religious history documentary conducted from a Judaism believer. I strongly believe in The Bible that Jesus had resurrected on the 3rd day. Our salvation comes from Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection. He’s the Living GOD because of what he has done for me and my family, he brought us out of the darkness and give us life that is the evidence of Jesus is a Living God. The actual Revelation that I observe through this presentation is that it was commonly understood that the older prophecies relating to Messiah pointed directly to that time in history and they understood Messiah as the suffering, and that he would be cut off only to rise again after 3 days. This is understood by a great many scholars of today and those of the past. Perhaps not a consensus widely respected in modern times. Yet, from my vantage point, rarely has a consensus ever got it right.

Faith is a gift of God, which many have not received.

I just would like to ad that whatever my coment were regarding The time of his birth, I really enjoy this mans movies of The history of our joint religions and of land of Israel. I Will still look at any film he has and find some True and sincere digging in to The history of Israel and The birth of our believs. So much is lost but more and more is getting known and in The book of revelation we are promised that all Will be known to humanity at The end of our days. I believe even Jeremia and Hezekiel have mentioned similar things. I am past 71 and sick but still hope to be here to witness Jesus Christ come down to end this messed up way we now live. I do not believe anymore that mankind can or have The Will to heal this earth that we have been given in trust to protect. I am eagerly waiting for Hezekiels proffesie of how this world shall look one day. His writing is what JHWH promised The jews The land should look like when they came home after 70 years in Babylon. It did not come to be then, it is meant for a 1000 year of paradise on earth. Or Israel. It is a drag I live north of The arctic circle. Amen and May Gods Will be.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen about your reality of a man being born on this earth walking among us, righteously getting persecuted ripped apart and destroyed for being simply a good man. God works in mysterious ways and now here we are today seeing the one thing that the Bible has said all along in the end you will know everything about truth when man stands with men and woman stands with woman and does not hate one another, but loves each other. Then the Messiah can rest we will all rest and live in peace… God bless.

Their logic about John the Baptist knew Simon of perrea doesn't jive at all. The Jewish scholar @40:52 said that Jesus was 1-2 years old, John was then 1.5-2.5 years old, so he never would have talked to, or even understood talking to simon of perrea. The contradictions are glaring, this is more entertainment than documentary.

@@fiily1 Your own logic is flawed as well though. The documentary specifically references John the Baptist living in the area, not having met Simon of Perrea. Surely your own hometown has legends, minor local celebrities, or documented persons you never met, had a chance to meet, or could have possibly spoken to. You're acting like a major uprising that was put down through military force would just be forgotten after 5 years or so. Even as a child, teenager, or young adult, John the Baptist would have a working knowledge of who Simon of Perrea was.

This dude in the documentary is known from other productions to be anti-Christian, so take it with a grain of salt. One indication of his bias is that he doesn't even know where Jesus' tomb (and execution) site is located, though it tells us in the Gospels.

Love how the greatest documentaries on Christian archeology are made by a Jew. Love this guy!!

However, it is an absolute fact that there is literally no contemporaneous evidence that Jesus ever existed. Paul made up the Jesus fiction in 48 AD after the Daniel 9:25 prophesy failed to fulfill. Shouldn't we expect that if God was walking around town for thirty years that the locals would have noticed at the time? Fun fact: none of the Gospel authors witnessed Jesus.

Paul actually stated that his sources were non-human, "...the gospel I preached is not of human origin." (Galatians 1:11-12). The Jesus story began in 48 AD with the first of the Pauline Epistles (which comprise nearly half of the New Testament books) when Paul realized the Daniel 9:25 prophesy of a messiah expired without fulfilling so he made one up decades later and set the story decades in the past matching Jewish expectations of the messiah to make the prophesy seem true. The fulfillment of the Daniel 9:25 prophecy written in 444 BC was the test of the true messiah. By 48 AD it was known that the prophecy of a messiah coming in "seven weeks and threescore and two weeks" had not occurred on the prophesied date. It was the 69th Week and the 70th Week was soon to come. The prophesied messiah was expected and the anticipation set off a messiah craze. "Seven weeks and threescore and two weeks" is, 7 plus 60 plus 2 equals 69 total weeks. One prophetic week equals seven biblical years of 360 days (the Julian calendar was created centuries later), so 7 times 69 equals 483 total biblical years beginning with Artaxerxes' decree in 444 BC. Those 483 biblical years equal 173,880 days, or 476 Julian years. Therefore the Messiah would come and be "cut off" in AD 33. One prophetic week equaling seven Biblical years is something “Daniel” invented in about 165 BC, effectively an admission that Jeremiah 25:11-12 failed. Paul made up the entire Jesus story and added historical figures, locations, and events to add authenticity. In the Galatians "road to Damascus" conversion vision tale written in 48 AD he claimed to have gone to the Arabian desert to study the Old Testament for 17 years to align with the Daniel 9:25 prophecy. Paul's goal was to garner support for the insurrection against the Romans which began in 46 AD led by two brothers, Jacob and Simon, in the Judea province. The revolt, mainly in the Galilee, began as sporadic insurgency until it climaxed in 48 AD when it was quickly put down by Roman authorities. Both Simon and Jacob were executed. He created the fiction of having witnessed the risen messiah. He wanted to show that the messiah had come as prophesied but was murdered by the Romans. This was to entice the Gentiles to aid in the Jews' rebellion against the Romans.

He said there is not a serious professor teaching others in an accredited school on the planet that doesn't believe the Historical Jesus was born, live, and was crucified by Pontius Pilate.

Thank you for this documentary. My faith in Jesus Christ has became stronger than ever before after watching this. Although you tried focusing on other aspects like many Jews, it is proved through this documentary that John 3:16 is absolutely true. On the other note if "Simon" the Jewish leader before Jesus is considered as messiah, was this Simon born to virgin? Did he shed his blood for mankind? My suggestion to you is that, perhaps you should do a documentary on Prophet Mohammed and his scriptures he wrote instead of Jesus and the Gospels.

I think if you taken Jesus as a historical figure you will see that he was just a Jewish teacher who believed that he could also liberate his people from imperialism through spiritual awakening. You believe in good but the Jesus you got from the Westen christian church is not the one you think. His teachings are highly distorted, so is his being. John is the last gospel written & its the one with the boldest claims regarding the life of Jesus, wonder why? The Jesus you follow is a creation made in the mind of Constantine meant to perpetuate & support imperialism & capitalism. Look into the early history of Christianity & bible translations. The books of the old testament had not even been agreed upon by the Jewish canon when the 'church' gave us the bible. Yet we took it without question. Which is the land on the coast of the MEDITERRANEAN and either side of the JORDAN RIVER. Due to terrible Famine some of these people went to Egypt in search of food. They were so poor they ended up as slaves. Eventually they escaped , wandered around and eventually ended up back in CANAAN. They stayed there and decided to call the place ISRAEL. It should be remembered that CANAAN WAS ALREADY INHABITED. So yeah, ISRAEL never really existed - Some MESOPOTAMIANS moved to CANAAN and just insisted that CANAAN was now ISRAEL.

Messiah means anointed one many were annoitneted. When used in literal translation. easily Googleable. Yet we all know that "thee" messiah was Jesus the Son of the living God born of the Virgin Mary. Hope people don't try to confuse themselves with the literal since we're talking 2000+ years. Many were annointed by oil but Jesus was annoitneted by the Holy spirit. as well as oil and fragrance. depending on which book read. either way story and meaning is still there. He died as a sacrifice for our sins that in believing him him we may be forgiven. I know there's a lot of why like this or how come this either way who are we to question Gods ways and his love. There's an in-depth article where Professor Knohl comes out publicly saying he's changed his mind about what he thought the text said. He no longer believes that it reads that in three days time someone would come back to life. Instead he says he mistranslated a word and what it really says is that in three days time a sign will be given. Other people checked his work and disagreed with him and when he went back and looked at their findings he was forced to agree with them. So this has nothing to do with the resurrection of Christ. Besides it's a well-known excepted historical finding that Christ was a real figure and that he died by crucifixion. Even atheist scholars except that. And the resurrection is really hard to dispute considering how many people witnessed him die on the cross, his body was removed from the cross and prepared for burial by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. Back in those days they would know what death looked like because people died at home and family prepared the bodies for burial. So he was dead when he came off the cross and went into the tomb. Three days later he was witnessed resurrected and was seen by hundreds of people over the next 40 days. And they were so convinced that they were willing to die for what they witnessed. The enemy always tries to refute the resurrection. Because it's Paul pointed out if Christ was not resurrected that our faith is for nothing. But he was resurrected and he is the way the truth and the light.

Has anyone considered, that if this stone is a bit older and predates the birth & death of Jesus; that this may be a written prophesy of the messiah to come? Like it tells of what will happen, & how there will be a resurrection? The Bible is full of prophesy of what is to come. Did not parts of the Bible come from parchments & tablets that had been already written? I will never doubt in the Messiah, the Christ!

Until the conclusion of an episode has Simcha converting to Christianity, I'll presume his findings about Jesus to be at-large/inconclusive. Personally, (as someone previously referenced), similar to Ancient Aliens, I watch to find out just how ridiculous it can get, and apparently I enjoy hating myself for wasting time. As I waste more time commenting on said waste of time, to get my money's worth, and for the record...Jesus IS the way, he doesn't follow in another's footsteps. God Bless You All.

If Jesus was a simple man, his words didn't remained until Today. He new during his life that his words will be known by all the world. And this will happen. Just look at the year we live. It's count from Jesus for all nations. This says a lot!

The Book of Isaiah pre-dated the crucifixion but it still spoke of the Messiah as well. Isaiah 53... It describes exactly what happened to Messiah Yeshua. And it is a bias to say that there is another Yeshua because of a tablet found that obviously is echoing what they understood of the Book of Isaiah of the coming Messiah and what will take place.... It would have been common for ordinary people to keep a personal record of scripture, which was on stone tablets for themselves. Given that they were always on the move.

I have so many questions... What was the ink made from and why didn't it fade to nothing for over two thousand years? Its not written on paper but on hard non porous stone. Did the pigment stain the stone or is it sitting on the surface? Are there other similar examples of writings on ink on stone tablets? Ive never heard of them, only those written on scrolls or carved into stone. Couldn't it gave been written by someone during Jesus's time who had learned to write in an older style? Everything being said is entirely speculation.

Hi, Very nice questions. For me the story is fake for the following reasons. Firstly, the evidence he flashed in the Ibriy language was invented and organized from Geez and Arabic languages in the 16th century. You cannot find a single letter of Ibriy language in any part of the world. Secondly, YESU AND ALL HIS PROPHATES WROTE in biblical hebrew not Ibriy as it was not invented by fake Jews. Thirdly, you cannot find any evidence of Israel in the area so called Palestin as the true location of Zion and Jerusalem is elesewhere. That is why no biblical archeology so far has estabilished the existance of Israel in their current area of investigation. YESU is not an European or an Arab but a black man of Zion of Africa. They should Stop their falsehood an avalanche of truth is coming their way. They better repent!

I believe they would rewrite everything into newer scrolls. Every time it started to fade they'll start working on a new scroll. Just like anything new it'll become dull, fade or deteriorate after a while.

Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. We believe in Him, trusting His death and shedding of His blood as payment for ALL our sins and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day! John 20:24-31; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 above. WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH Romans 10: 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8.

I was woken in the middle of the night with a shear sence of dread ...think me crazy I was told that at the last supper Jesus did not accuse his people of turning their backs on him or Judas of turning him over to the soldiers...Jesus had begged his followers to turn away from him so that they all would not be arrested , he just wanted his day in court to ban the money tables .Judas was part of the plan he was to bring the soldiers to Jesus hence the thirty peaces of silver to insure the soldiers would follow him . Well the plan backfired Instead of his day in court to end the money tables he was fighting for his life. Thanks to the greed of the priests he lost ...this was not expected any one of his people would have traded places with Jesus including Judas . And this is what drove Judas to his death he felt he himself killed Jesus... Greed is what killed Jesus ...Greed is what's going to kill us all ...
