It is quite amazing how fast pickleball keeps growing. I started a Meetu group just for pickleball here in Charlotte NC in February 2022.... and I now have over 2,200 members!!!

Up until the last two years the growth has been from people who played the sport and told others about it. Most people play a number of times a week. This sport is not a flash in the pan. It will be around for a long time.

Many young people are starting to play. The growth will not stop.

LET’S TALK ABOUT PICKLEBALL WITHOUT SHOWING ANY PICKLEBALL ✅

He missed some important points . Where I play at the ymca or other community centers you don’t need a partner just put your paddle in line . You play a game for 12 min. Then sit and rest and socialize for 12 min. So one can play for two hours and not feel totally exhausted!

Seems pretty silly that this video includes no video clips of pickleball play, only still photos.

My dad loves pickleball it's fascinating....

Dude, I tried pickleball and I love it but the sound gives me a headache. The ball and paddle needs to be redeveloped.

Somebody please invent the noiseless ball to play Pickleball game. Might be some sort of sythentic ball with rubber padded bat.

It’s a great way to get some exercise, socialize and meet new people, and it’s an economical hobby.

Locally of the new 8 courts 4 of them are reserved for the local public elementary school several days a week The kids love it.

omg, tennis players are really concern to not finding public courts to play in the future the sport we love :( LONG LIFE TO TENNIS (a real racquet sport, nor a season game)

YES, that's the reason I didn't take the license to teach it. First I heard it in the club ,when they played next to me teaching tennis. The noise and the echo was unbearable. It can be fun , I don't deny it but unfortunately a lot of the players have no etiquettes and also are stealing tennis courts left and right. One thing for sure, will never become a HS sport. Mainly bc boys season is in Spring and girls in fall so no way can use the courts in winter time. I taught paddle too .In my opinion mini tennis is a lot more competitive and more fun, of course requiring lots of skills and speed. That s the reason pb grows bc is the easiest sport to learn and become an ok player in a short period of time.

It’s popular because you can become average in a half hour.

For a start. Give it a better name....

@Clint Shiflet I'm a pickleball player and a tennis player it's not that easy to change the courts, In my community, there are two Tennis courts that got changed to Pickleball I want to play both. The court is empty at night. The nets can't be taken out now.

The Olympic Charter indicates that in order to be accepted, a sport must be widely practiced by men in at least 75 countries and on four continents and by women in no fewer than 40 countries and on three continents. Feb 15, 2022 - So far, the International Pickleball Federation has 70 member nations. Most joined in the last three years.

@@jayvee5886 I would say it's a fad for the majority of people. Disc Golf was the same way when it started, and it still exists, and they have leages and tournaments and championships. A friend of mine became fairly successful at it years ago. But interest died over time. This game is not novel: it's just ping-pong while standing on the table, basically. It's about as boring as any other racquet game. All that said, I hope I'm wrong. They just built a new Trampoline park here in my town, I would bet you a month's pay that it closes within the year, or sooner depending on how many lawsuits for injuries they get into.

@@donnewton7858 I do not play but Don then you have no idea what is happening. Where I used to live in the winters way back 15 years ago we had about 300 members there are now apparently over 1700. No fad and more and more playing all the time all over the world.

It's still too noisy. USA Pickleball needs to address the noise nuisance either by changing the ball or the paddle specs.

Already was banned in Chestnuts area of Philadelphia. The residents couldn't get a break from 7 am to night time , the noise was just to much. So they had to go somewhere else.

This game is perfect for Americans who despise athleticism and would rather stand in one spot and swat a ball. Because of this we have no one in the pro tennis world anymore as well as other sports. The USA athletic system has died on the vine. Mediocrity is prevailing.
