If it weren't for Draymond's stupid technicals, ejections and suspensions earlier in the season, the Warriors should have at least been the 8th seed. The Warriors defeated themselves (i.e. self-destructed from self-inflicted wounds). You didn't see Lebron James get ejected from games and get suspended for 20 games. If Lebron had done what Draymond did and if Draymond played smarter and not get suspended, the Lakers would have been the 10th seed and the Warriors would have been the 8th seed. This was a WASTED season of MISSED OPPORTUNITIES that may never materialize again for the Big 3. SAD.

I think their last championship run fooled the Warriors into thinking that they can operate without a big in today's league. Even during the core-3's prime they had Bogut or Zaza or even McGee setting screens, eating up boards, defending/blocking. Remember during the mid-00's during their championship era when they were leading the league in blocks for multiple seasons? Now that the entire league can shoot just as well as their backcourt, they can't just outscore opponents like they used to. Boogie Cousins off the couch would've given the Warriors a better chance in this game than Klay did.

  • @chinter

The "Splash Brothers" Klay is no more. Steph turns 37 next season. Draymond is more trouble than he's worth as a non-baller. I think they call it..... the end of an era. I remember some Warrior fans when they became the new, young hot item on the menu being disrespectful to the Spurs after their 20 years of championship level dominance finally came to an end via age & injury. Like Steve Kerr said (who himself always had the class to show respect towards Spurs), "no one stays on top forever".

I agree with you that this is the nail in the coffin for the Warriors. As a Laker fan of 21 years I get annoyed with some other Laker fans out there who think every year is their year since Lebron joined the team. Don’t get me wrong, there was a lot of chirping going on in the Kobe era but it’s a lot worse with Lebron (which he is my second favorite player all time behind Kobe and I am glad he’s on the team) and they’re not nearly as well run as the Kobe-era Laker teams.

Warrior fans practically didn’t exist aside from real street Bay Area people. Oakland in particular. But they said NO. I hate the Warriors with a passion and this almost feels like a championship. The Kings basically dare Klay to shoot and triple team Curry. The gamble works as the Warriors weren’t able to keep up the Kings pace. Also if you notice defensively Klay has also lost a step. I do hope Klay stays and hoping Warriors get some help this summer. Warriors 4 Life!
