    I know you posted this a year ago, however, I'm just reading this now. Perhaps she is still too emotionally scared from her ordeal. Sex trafficking is a real thing, and they have been known to brand "their" property. If you know anything about trauma of this sort, trust me when I say, there is a LOT of PTSD. So perhaps that is why she couldn't appear.

    People keep forgetting that sex trafficking is very real--- and given her appearance, the manner of her kidnapping, the physical abuse and branding-- this very well could be that. It's not always the husband.

  • @Dragon-wl5ic

    @Dragon-wl5ic

    7 жыл бұрын

    You are right, sex trafficking is very real, but here it's still strange and I don't quite believe this theory. First off, she is too old to be trafficked. Even if they didn't see it when they grabbed her, they would have eventually seen that she is not a young girl anymore. Secondly, if they were sex traffickers, they would have not kept her for three weeks. beaten her up, chopped off her hair and branding her. The risk would have been too high to keep her that long. She'd either be dead, because they realised she is not trafficking material, or they would have let her off the hook way earlier. To me, that looks like a revenge crime from some kind of female from her past. Making her unattractive, punishing her by branding her skin etc, that sounds very much like a jealous or revengeful female that hates her. Let's wait and see what comes out of it, I am very curious!!

Normally we call. The he says about his 4 year-old "You can tell me anything Dad." Yeah right. The happy ending was the last straw. Two hispanic women kidnapped her for what? Didnt kill her, didn't as for ransom, didn't sell her to a Mexican brothal, but only kept her for 3 weeks then let go? Then you get the story told by her own family and relatives, that this is an attention seeking woman who, back in 2012, had already faked a kidnapping once.

I mean have you seen gone girl? Public perception is extremely easy to sway. Furthermore, if someone was kidnapped, tortured, raped for whatever reason, I highly doubt the first thing they'd do is go on national TV and show of their brand marks, I mean if you really believe they faked it then they would've been parading Sherri around. People are so unwilling to be compassionate.

A human trafficking expert questioned about the case said she thinks the only thing Sherri is lying about is that she's so terrified of the men involved that she keeps leaving them out of everything she says.

    "Two Hispanic women". I feel like she got this story right out a newspaper from the 1950's. Something reaaaal fishy going on here. No photos, no speech like there usually is when kidnapped people are found, nothing about what she was branded with. No details of the crime, no details about the car, no details about the people. Husband 'took photos' of evidence and sent it to police. There's no substance here for it to be in the media at all, would it have so much coverage if it was '2 white ladies' that she said did it? This whole thing is a waste of time and resources.

  • @jtfike

    @jtfike

    Chloe whoever gave you your education wants their diploma back. Seriously, did you think through anything you stated here? The photos, speech, etc happen when the person who did it was brought to justice. There is a criminal investigation ongoing. There are facts, that if brought public, will ruin leads and create fake call ins from people claiming to have knowledge of the case. Your KZread account doesn’t entitle you or these journalists to information on an active case. This is why the sheriff isn’t talking. This is why lead investigators aren’t talking. They aren’t talking either. They all want justice to occur, and it can’t if they reveal information. And stop being triggered by “two Hispanic women”. News flash for you, 100% of the cartel is Hispanic. Sex traffickers are Hispanic. Get over it.

    There’s just not enough information in this interview. Where was her car? I’m assuming at the house. If the husband drove her (150 miles) where’d she stay for three weeks? She couldn’t have stayed at a hotel or ordered food with her credit card and she doesn’t look like the caping/survival type. If she used cash it wouldn’t have mattered the story was huge and she would’ve been recognized. The interviewer just sucked.

    Sometimes kidnappers and rapists do let their victims go- there are a few high profile cases like this- at some point it huts them that what they are doing is so terrible they have a moment of conscience and let the person go, or sometimes as they get to know the person they eventually feel bad about the situation and let them go- usually they don't out of fear of getting caught, but this does happen.

Fear mongering is a completely different dynamic than creating a build up dramatic effect for ratings. In fact ABC has never had that rep in the news business FOX owns that due to its underclass viewership. Now, you wanting to firebomb an entire news agency is a TERRORIST THREAT lets address that. Max Welter I was just assuming u meant fire bomb as calling them out or someone actually having a legit come back or proof to accusations. But I guess if u was just wanting to literally bomb then that's ur opinion. I was agreeing to the fact that the news is one sided they give some facts/ details but there is always a few sides to EVERY story. Some ppl leave stuff out others don't want to "look bad" but it all comes down to ppl involved and how twisted the story gets. Yeah ABC probably isn't about views but they are like almost any other news ex. What ppl are interested in, when the event happens who gets to cover it first etc. I meant by corrupt shit as in EVERYONE involved the investigators, the accused, the story that ppl let out to cause a stir (to get more information or just to get the story out to get more attention for help etc.) corrupt shit is literally every where.

    So he tracks her phone and takes a picture of it in the grass “ just in case” and she allowed her kids to see her battered face 2 days later? And she just so happens to be on the side of a busy highway when she’s tossed out of a car with enough motorists to see her begging for help but no one sees her tossed out of an suv by 2 women?! This was so fake and so bizarre.

    What a waste of precious, budget-tightened, police & community resources. Jail time should not be enough for this. Need to pay back those wasted funds. Have the logistics be calculated to a rounded figure which will serve as a fine or penalty for her criminal violation. So, after serving jail time, once she is "free", she will be accounted for paying this amount which could be arranged on an installment basis. This will serve as a lasting lesson as she will be paying this debt a good number of decades, or while she's still alive, and also for those who may be thinking to do the same cruel & deceitful act. As she is learning her lesson, the city or the state will have some of the lost fund recuperated which can help those are TRULY in need. I believe that will be a fair & justified procedure for this case.

    an officer once stated that "I'm still not seeing a good motive for her abduction. But she looks young in photos & probably looked even younger jogging, sex trafficking; abducion, holding them, beating them seems logical but the one component they definitely would have used to make her compliant would be forced drug use. Beatings causing extreme pain, branding, followed by forced heroin use to stop the pain can turn anyone into an addict. That could have happened and Law Enforcment is not releasing it to try and respect her privacy and using it to separate false confessions. Those holding her may have finally decided she was not going to get them enough cash and there was way too much police and press interest in her case, so they decided to cut their losses and let her go. However one I of several things that bother me was the whole hood thing. She claims she was forced to wear one at all times but then she said they also wore hoods so she could only see their eyes. That doesnt really make sense, and if they pulled over to ask her for "help" they wouldn't have masks covering their faces. She'd have run the other way. But I know for a fact certain details are not released intentionally so that they can wade through all the people calling the "help solve this crime hotline". they need a way to separate legitimate calls from crank calls. I'm still suspicious but then again I don't know the whole story. No one but her and to a lesser extent the cops. Innocent until proven guilty." could it Be Karma, Affair, Kidnapping, only she knows.
