I feel like ACCM had a great opportunity to kill you with an all in castle age by preserving his CA numbers and making it really hard for you to do the pike transition when he does the knight play.

I really hope this series goes on! I really enjoyed the first two episodes and it makes me quite sad the second one doesn’t perform as well. I hope it‘ll get some more views soon! One thing I noticed is that the thumbnail of the first ep was a lot stronger.

I can’t emphasize enough how much I love this series! It’s so unique and awesome to get this level of detailed insight into the thought process and decision making of a pro player. It also creates a great way to display live in game examples of the concepts you discuss in your other videos (defenders advantage, scouting, civ matchup / win conditions). Keep it up!

i'm definitely coming back for more of inside the mind of a pro series. this is great. id say this is gold mine of content.

I love hearing the detailed explanations from a top tier player. You can only learn so much from watching t90 casts 😅

The insight on this one was really good and recorded games always give us more time to look at all aspects (and information) available which I think makes a huge difference. I specially liked the insight on unit transitions - so many times I fell into the trap of immediately transitioning to a counter unit but if you don't keep up with enemy numbers with the original army you had, you will die during the transition. Also adding a 4th TC once you realized Castle Age would last longer than planned, watching it an in hindsight it all seem so obvious but during the match things fall apart, so it really does feel like being inside the mind of a pro, great job!

Please make more of these. VERY BENEFICIAL!!! You did a wonderful job explaining your reasoning behind each decision. It is also great that you point out not just the good decisions but also the bad decisions and why a decision may have been good or bad. Please keep these coming. Makes me want to come back for more.

I really like the fact the you're doing this from your POV only. So many people talk strategy while showing full map which shows information that you wouldn't know when playing. Great video mate!

I love this series, it sticks in my mind way better than just seeing you do things or random explanations of why you do those things during a normal game

Love this series! I love when I can listen to quality commentary on professional games, especially the decision-making process. When you do live commentary, it typically slows down in Castle Age and disappears in Imperial Age as there are more and more in-game demands on your attention. This is solid commentary start to finish!

One thing that would be very helpful would be a video on how you break down civ matchups. Or a ranking of early game v late game civs

As a much lower elo guy (1100-1200), I see this type of video very useful. For example i didnt notice until first video, how healing is important. I did it in few 1v1 games and it gave me so big advantage in early castle fights! Thnaks a lot, keep going :)

This is my favorite format : I like to see the game from a player's perspective as well as be able to track villager count comparison and keep hindsight like in casted games. Very informative! One thing you didn't specifically mention, but was relevant in the video, is how important your town center placement was for defense. Whenever the knights came in to attack you, your villagers had an easy place to hide and the town center could help fight. I'll be considering this more when placing my own TCs, instead of only looking for the juiciest group of resources.

@hera I'm relatively new to aoe and haven't dived into ranked yet, so forgive me if this is a gauche idea, but I'd love to see a split screen of one of these: one of the game play and one of your hands lol, esp your keyboard. Gives a view of what the physicality of a top tier rts player is doing

I really like these type of videos, but I think they'd be even better if you explain the way you manage your economy depending on the strat you're going for. For example, how do you set up your eco when you decide to go Light Cav + Siege, and then the changes you make when you need to adapt and go full kts + monk instead, or even when you decide to stop military production. I've watched many videos where you can see pro players making really good decisions, but it's never explained how they adjust their eco to execute their plan properly

After these 29 minutes I've got to learn more then during last whole year! :) Amazing, but as I could see, many thoughts-movings are basically the same in pro-head and in 1k-head!.. (but only after the game is over! 1111111)

I always do this mistake, send my armies to early, during the transition to the next age. I'm always afraid to miss this small timing advantage, so I want to put my armie near the ennemy base, but finish often trap and need to engage before my upgrade kicking. Not knowing my opponent didn't click yet is a huge factor, I need to learn to check the score at the right time to be able to know that and don't make unnecessary mistake

How do build up civ knowledge, especially since there are so many of them? Is it just a by-product of playing a ton?

Love those videos! One thing I would really like to see is for you to stop the game and comment on certain aspect as they are about to happen .. everything is a bit fast for players like me (1000 elo)

When my opponent is going scout rush. I have to make scouts and few spearmen but the scouts are more important because he cannot out maneuver me. Right. Lost last game because i didnt have the mobility.

It would be great to talk about APM management. This will be player dependent, but we can surely learn about the overall decision process. Like for example, when did you decide to send those knights into his base. At what point did you prepare/do the manoeuvre?

Nonetheless. I REALLY liked the video, this was just an idea for future to make them even better.

Some great lessons I took from the video: 1) kill the enemy units 2) don't lose units 3) win Great vid Hera. I believe there is a lot to be accomplished in south america gaming scene, and you may be the choosen one.

Super interesting, definitely keep it up ! However, it feels a little bit like you are under the covers or that you can't really speak (library vibes :D), and personally I prefer when you are being your vocal and perky self ! Maybe that's just me, but I thought maybe you should know! Cheers

hey hera, thx for the vid - why did you not add conqs once your castle is up aswell (just around 10 - and then still halbs)? should be really good vs the knight all in behind your own knights as a dps unit and you still have the mobility compared to pikes.

I prefer scouts since you’ll need stable for bloodlines and husbandry anyways which you also need for CA
