I was so ecstatic to meet you. Though I'm sure you could tell with how giddy as I was when you walked in the door. Could not have been a more perfect time to meet you since I was able to get my first tarantula that morning. I'm still in aww that my mom said she wouldn't freak if I got one. Though she draws the line on jumping spiders. She even agreed to help me design the enclosure I plan on getting when it's bigger. Since it's an Avicularia Purpurea, I named it Cheshire. And I'm gonna do an Alice in Wonderland theme.

Oh, and that was awesome seeing some of our White's Tree Frogs make an appearance! 🐸🇦🇺 Hmm, I'm unsure if our species of Ts are exportable or if there are overseas breeders, but I'd be over the moon if you got an Aussie T, Kat... don't worry, they're all sweeties! 🥰

P. irminia is one of the prettiest species. I only recently found out it is a new world species, and that blew my mind lol

I had a Phidapus audax come with us from Gresham to Albany Oregon for a flock and fiber festival! Lol

I got a tiger wandering spider recently too. Mine is a little defensive, bit the brush during the rehousing twice. And the feeding response is very awesome.

P. Irminia has never been too bad imo. I just got a L. Nigerrimum recently in a very large mystery box from One Love. It's only about 3/4..was not excited to rehouse but it only gave me one defensive pose. Really my blue fang was the spaz out of my lot. It's not a T I would had chose but Ts are the only thing that kinda raise my pulse.. Even with owning an Amazon Tree Boa. So good luck to both of us on our journey with our black demons haha.

Last weekend was my first time at Tinley, too. It was also the first time I’ve ever seen an Avicularia purpurea and it was love at first sight. ✨🕷️✨

I might have made a mistake but after owning two jumping spiders I got P. Irminia for my first tarantula. I know I am crazy. But I got her as a sling so I think growing her will be a really giving process. And of course I have watched tons and tons of videos of this species and I know they might be unpredictable. I am feeding her with caution and luckily she seems to be more of a shy side than defensive so that helps alot. I love her so much and she is so beautiful. I have this thing for arboreal specises and that is why I wanted to take up on this challenge. So far so good. Her name is Virva which is a mythical word for fire in Finnish🥰

Psalmopoeus is my favorite genus and I have all the ones available in the US and my irminia is so calm and skittish. Always hides as soon as I take off the lid! My p. Reduncus is nuts though!

You should try to get a Giant Gippsland Earthworm that's found in Australia and is roughly about 1 meter long and in some cases have even reached 3 meters long (9.8 feet).

Yessssss I forgot this was coming lol u all rock so I finally got my first t I pick "her" (hopefully a her I picked from 3 1"slings from same sack ) tomorrow so I am Soo stoked and she is a beautiful lil blue versicolor and I can't wait to watch her grow and I finally got in touch with Tom Patterson and found out we live close enough for me to do a local pick up of I choose to so stoked!! And I can't wait to "slowly" grow my collection I already have a list of what I want

I'm so happy you finally got a P. irminia. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I think they have a bad reputation. I see my girl out quite a bit and she doesn't seem particularly aggressive or defensive. I originally got mine because I wanted to get a few pokies and an H. mac, all of which I have now. I was surprised a few years back when you said you didn't have one in your collection. ❤️

Sad that I really want alot of turantula cribs enclosures but it's like 20pound shipping 😢 cost of living I'm willing to splurge on an enclosure but not pay that much shipping even tho those coffin enclosures are to die for.
