Florio still thinks trading for Goff was an absorbing a bad contract. Are you kidding me the Lions got what they consider their starting quarterback, 2 1st round picks, and a 3rd round pick for Stafford. If you look at how Goff’s played the last 2 years his contract is reasonable compared to other QB’s putting up those numbers. The Rams got a SB out the trade, The Lions maximized everything they could out of that trade and jump started their rebuild

The Goff-Stafford deal was a rare win-win trade: - The Rams won the Super Bowl for the first time in LA. - The Lions won the division and a playoff game for the first time in 32 years. Both are in better situations. I know we like winners and losers but that was a win-win deal.

This was special for the state of Michigan. We have 2 college teams here in MSU and UM. We hate the other team on Saturdays but on Sundays, everyone is a Lions fan. So proud of all the players but especially G. Goff's performance. He had a ton of pressure to win last night. Made very few mistakes with good decisions. Hats off to MCDC and Brad Holmes for giving our state a winner.

Kinda sad how these media people just hoping and waiting for Jared Goff to mess up. 3 playoff losses to Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady and they act like he’s some choker. Bad super bowl performance but Cooks also had a huge drop or two and he at least got there. Hardly hear this narrative with other QBs who mess up in the playoffs much more often

We gave up big plays but red zone defense was amazing

Of course it will seem like the Rams outplayed the Lions. You're forgetting the Lions were up at half. They had no need to take the deep shots and that entire 4th quarter was all about field/clock management for the Lions. Looked to me like that final drive of the game the Lions could have marched the other 70 yards fairly easily, with 3 timeouts remaining.

Goff's contract was a BARGAIN!! The cap hit compared to comparable QBs in the league was amazing. Now... That Cousins contract... 😬

The false start was a bad call. About 10 non hold holding on the DBs for the Lions. The most penalized defense with the ref crew that called the most PI in the league didn’t call shit. That and the cheap shots. Lost a ton of respect for Dan “Gregg Williams” Campbell. Shit game.

The Goff stafford story is of course the biggest headline. No one is talking about how physical Detroit played. The defense was playing full tilt with reckless coverage, and got away with a lot of contact with receivers. Could have really hurt them with some more calls, and win for LA. The defense shook up stafford, Williams, and nacua with hard hitting physical defense. The defense is not great, has its weaknesses, but they looked hungry and were flying around and playing hard despite their shortcomings.

Non-Lions fans who have to come to terms with the fact we aren't jokes anymore. We're finally just another respectable team that can't be glossed over. Chris, Mike, I'll take it. More road to plow now...

Both QBs with over 100 in QBR. NO INTs either way. The difference was the D. If that D shows up again in the next 2 weeks, i dont see them getting beat. I would not mind seeing Detroit win the Superbowl. That would be great for the fans and the city.

It’s possible that they could get to the Super bowl, it all depends on the defense right now, if they can stop Tampa or philly and then somehow able to hold 49’rs/packers long enough to win the championship then yeah the rest is history
