Hey Adam, when I was at the first open house earlier this week, I too was surprised it didn't already have offers and there were hardly any lookers. The realtor told me they weren't entertaining any offers until they had the open houses.. The view from the top bedroom is absolute perfection. I too, noticed how the downstairs bedroom was very oddly-shaped. Old houses were sometimes funny that way. I think the living rooms were everything.

Very cool...on one hand its almost meant to be your house & with the two rentals it seems like a no brainer from a financial standpoint...but if i put myself in your shoes as a fairly private person, the constant attention might get a little much. Remember not everyone is as considerate or uses any common sense towards the homeowners as you do...Youve already got halloween fans coming by all day on tour buses and on foot & now all the lunatics on the internet know where you live...quite the conundrum

Do NOT buy that house. Just watching your video there’s at least 75k in renovations that need to be made. And the fact that they won’t even show you the basement until they’ve accepted your offer is a major red flag. I’m guessing extensive water damage or a hot water heater on its last leg. I’m guessing before it’s all said and done this house needs 200k in repairs and remodels. The didn’t even do the basic stuff when selling a home like repainting the interior.

The lady that lived there was so nice! We planned to give her a gift for Halloween this year, so when I saw this I was bummed! She also had a laminated sheet with Halloween filming locations (and a couple of other movies,) pictures, quotes, and more. We hope the new owners will embrace the fans the way she did 🧡

(Too bad it's not like the 5-ALIVE house, where you could have the fans of the film rent it out, but a BED AND BREAKFEST where the caretaker IS ON THE PROPERTY, I am sure is a different matter.) You could purchase memorabilia and real props from the movie to decorate and charge a good price!

The clothesline scene was filmed with The Shape standing in the backyard of 1533 North Orange Grove Avenue, looking up towards the small balcony at the back of the house. That house is located next to Lindsay Wallace's house, located at 1537 N. Orange Grove Ave. Laurie Strode's bedroom was actually filmed in Tommy Doyle’s house, located at 1530 N. Orange Grove Ave. at the front of the house on the driveway side. The window she looks out of is located on the south face, above the driveway. The room was made use of again later in the film, when Laurie throws the potted plant at the house and Tommy appears at the window.

u seem to be super well versed on filming locations where do u think that deleted/made for tv scene was filmed where linda was talking to laurie in her living room about being followed possibly by meyers or devon graham ? one other thing does anyone find it weird that the lyndsey house had a laundry room outside house when if its supposed to be in illinois where the winters are quite cold/snowy who would want to go out to do that stuff in freezing weather- i know who cares but this is my all time fav film !

Personally, I would lease all three units and utilize a property manager as the front man. I can't imagine playing Mr. Furly to a bunch of strangers. Once you have satisfied your mortgage and saved enough for renovations, it would make a huge personal home with space for a home theater and guest quarters. 😊

Very cool video. I always assumed Laurie's room was in that house. Sometimes knowing behind the scenes stuff like that messes with the enjoyment of the movie for me because I'll think about it every time I watch the movie from now on. Someone once pointed out a continuity error that I never noticed before after seeing the movie dozens of times. Now I notice every time I watch. Everyone knows the movie was really filmed in Pasadena, California but it's supposed to be in Illinois. At the beginning of the movie when Laurie and the other 2 girls are walking home from school they're walking down the sidewalk and they cross a street. If you look down the street you can see palm trees in the distance. Of course there aren't palm trees in Illinois. Never noticed until it was pointed out to me and now I wait for the palm trees in Illinois every time I watch the movie.

The mortgage on 1.8 million would be alot, but the property taxes will be forever. And the rent you would have to charge to help pay for the mortgage would be a lot. Pasadena has rent control now. My husband and I are landlords and right now is not a good time to be a landlord of any kind anywhere here in California. I just hope whoever buys it doesn't knock it down. They love knocking things down here. And a real reality check, you don't always get the best tenants.

That's pretty cool, you got to go into the house. I like old houses like that. Kind of interesting How They subdivided it all up for apartments. But pretty cool, anyways.

What if…someone turned that house in to a Halloween movie experience like when you stayed at the “The Christmas story” house…either way that home is a fixer upper,Not worth it even if it would bring in extra income from the rental units. Great video 👍🏾👍🏾 you were so child like..AMAZING 🙏🏾💜

The Midwest doesn’t have the ocean, the mountains, the valleys or the deserts within a 40 min drive like California. Location is everything

Hmm, does it not seem a bit spooky that you can’t see the basement until you’ve bought it? I wonder how many prospective buyers will result from this video, hehe - Realtor the Woo? 😜 Aw man, the shots from the library and downtown, hearing the squawks of the parrots, makin’ me homesick big time…

Think it would be cool if you bought the Halloween house! The prices of houses always going up great investment interest rates are crazy though.

Heck yes! The Laurie Strode Abode! Yesterday morning, I was looking at the listing and trying to convince my Mom that we should fly out to the open house. It would have been close coming from the east coast but I think we could have made it!

You should make an offer on the Strode house . There are all kinds of ways for you to monetize this property. Plus it could serve as your home base when you visit SoCal. And you can save money on hotels there.
