Me too. The AAA industry today is too corrupted with greedy dirtbags like EA and Activision. Good thing we still have developers like CD Projekt Red, Obsidian Entertainment, and Larian Studios.

I'm really hoping Microsoft treats these guys well and let's them continue doing things their way without too much interference.

@@MegariskyYT Hopefully the Bugthesda modding community migrates to The Outer Worlds to keep the game alive for years to come. I mean look at New Vegas, people are still making new content for it and I still play it more then any game to this day.

As an RPG fan, sci fi nerd and somebody who has enjoyed every Obsidian game I've played this is easily my most hyped game of the year. An Obsidian game is always something to get excited for.

I can't describe my hype for this game. It's not overhype, but more like humble hype.

For me its not even hype. Its this idea in my head that regardless of combat and gameplay or bugs this is the game i want. Was much the same with Pillars of Eternity. Its combat difficulty was broken on launch. The removal of endurance system bothered me and i found the gameplay to be sortof downgraded. The story writing and reputation/disposition system was all i needed to enjoy it. All i seem to want out of single player RPG's are choices and consequences with the world reacting to them.

This and cyberpunk 2077 are my most awaited games for 2019.

That’s a really good example, The Witcher series had pretty humble beginnings and honestly the gameplay was pretty crap (in the first, a little better in the second game) but the story telling and world building carried it so far, now look what it’s become. I hope you’re right, cheers.

Looking forward to this game, it is like a little beacon of what games were truly all about. Honest people making a game they want to make. Simple as that.. so refreshing.

rinnegan sr well you need to keep your excitement in check that is a problem with gamers, is that they expect to much and become way to easily hyped. This game isn't going to blow your mind nor is it this AAA budget experience. Think of it in the scope of Fallout New Vegas. The developers even stated to limit your expectations for The Outer Worlds and if you do so the game will be exactly what is has always been and not an unnecessary disappointment that your excitement blew out of proportion.

@@jedi196 that also shows that they're honest devs. They aren't acting like it's the best game to exist, they just made a game and they more concerned if people enjoy it rather than making money.

These people were incredibly genuine and you can tell that they put a lot of passion in this game. Contrast that with the peeps at Bethesda who don't seem to know what they're doing. When Todd Howard gives an interview, you can tell that he's nervous in front of the camera and says certain thing that don't go with the game or tries to obfuscate certain details. Regardless, I have faith in Obsidian and I think, contrary to what a lot of people think, their partnership with Microsoft will go well. The future is looking bright.

I remember Feargus well, because he was mentioned multiple times in the first Fallout games.What I remember from the top of my head, one was NPC in Arroyo, one was NPC in the NCR council and one was a cemetery name. As a European teenager who was still learning English back in the 90s, I read his name with "Fear" included.

Who in this planet was capable of that one dislike? How? It feels almost physically impossible. I can better understand serial killers level of crazy then whatever was the reasoning behind that. Why? How?! This world doesn't make sense!!

Im not a huge FPS guy but this is one of my most anticipated games of the year hands down. Obsidian is one of the best devs in the industry right now, that and Tim Cain is adorable.

Video is too short. More interviews! Seriously though, I love hearing these guys talk about their game, their experiences in development over the many years, etc. They are more fun to listen to, than actually playing some games. I loved the "test your shit here" on the dev room wall.

Game Informer, you guys are killing it with your coverage of this game! This really reminds me of how you covered games back on the day in the magazine when it was the only way to get new info. That feeling of finding out new details and turning the next page is captured so well with this series.

these guys are like the antithesis of EA and Activision.

@@MithriAK Well Obsidian is just a studio, not a corporation, so the equivalent to EA or Activision would be studios like DICE(Battlefield) or Infinity Ward(Call of Duty), also, now Obisidian answers to a corporation, one of the biggest ones, Microsoft, it's not really about being a corporate game or not, what's important is that the owner of their studio manage their product well, balancing corporate policies and creative freedom, EA is putting out Fallen Order, a single-player game, EA released Unravel, another single player game, EA released A Way Out, an entire coop campaign game, something quite bold for a company that mostly puts out multiplayer shooters and sport games, so THERE ARE human beings in every single one of these studios and companies, stop demonizing people, it's ignorant.

Trust me, I have not experienced anything higher than (okay, admittedly I have never done drugs) the high I get in that space of creation. It is euphoric, it is orgasmic (I also get it on stage but that's because I am also a performer). Bluesky sessions are exciting af. But coming down on Earth and actually bloody implementing, that's where most people will fall apart. That's why I have so much admiration for people who can actually get the work done, and it is incredible when they actually do it well too.

Respect for the people that are working on this game You can really hear they don't care about GREED but to make people happy and giving people what they want in few years this is gonna be one of the biggest developers cant wait to play outer worlds Once again respect

It might not be the greatest game ever (in fact, I know it won't be), but I will buy 5 copies of this game just to support these artists.

These GameInformer interviews have been fun. Can't wait for more at E3; hopefully a release date.

John Smith I don’t really agree it’s competing with doom eternal which a 100% simple and basic shooter and borderlands 3 which is a looter shooter, that’s really it for big names outer worlds itself is getting quite a bit of hype around it there’s no game similarly to it releasing anytime soon except maybe CP 2077 except I disagree with that cause they’re vastly different themes, and outer worlds seems to be a bit more dialogue heavy

Cyberprank 2077 No Exact Release Date has been shown all we know for show is it is releasing this year HOWEVER Steam did show a release of August 9th but a lot of the time “Leaked” release dates turn out to be bullshit.

Curious if this is another take on the game they started but couldn't get a publisher on when still working as Torika, mangy people, incorrectly believe that Activision shut them down after vtmb but in fact there was an isometric rpg

There is a very good chance certain AAA publishers and their Live Service games & microtransaction model is going to cause them to collapse within the next few years. What Obsidian, and smaller studios are doing is going to be the way forward, hopefully? Appropriate budgets and expectations. So, if the game doesn't do well, it's not the end of the world. Smaller is better if the quality is there backed by industry giants like Microsoft. The future looks bright even if it appears darkest before the dawn...

Yeah, I think to prevent abolishment, they have found home at MS. Otherwise, these companies, cannot survive for very long. Even in the 90s where the market was not as saturated (though definitely was not as popular either) they would constantly have to remake themselves.

they need to make the subtitles bigger. they are really too small. at least double size and dark translucent background, because I guarantee you people who are deaf or hard of hearing will struggle if these stay as small and light :/
