@@naimaismail4356 You shouldn't take oscars as a metric for quality anyway, actors RARELY actually win them for their best work. The academy likes awarding older guys because it sees young men having more chances in their future. @@AllWordsAreDust Award shows can always be a bit political in a sense. I don't necessarily believe awards are a reflection for the quality of the art itself. And think about those that get blackballed. I always felt like the Oscars kinda overlooked Pacino, which is crazy because he's loved by everyone. Either way, he had a spectacular career and his movies will live on forever.
@AllWordsAreDust

@@naimaismail4356 Yeah I think the way the work lives on says at least 10x more than an award. I mean, does anyone remember the guy who won over him for GFII, Art Carney? No insult to him, I've never seen his movie, might be great but Oscar or not we all know what the more important performances were that year. I actually think the vast majority of my favourite performances didn't actually win their year. I wish for Al's sake he had won in the 70s, but I don't view it as important otherwise.

Want to see this because Al Pacino has made some great movies but also because he is articulate and honest and sensitive. I loved Serpico as a kid - such a brave Christ like character in a corrupted world. Serpico maintained his innocence. Scarface shows the emptiness and deceitfulness of sin. Al Pacino is on the right side in the cosmic drama. Some other actors, say Lady Ga Ga, are working for satan.

Thank you
Tinha assistido hà anos em Portugal, na tv, agora vou assisti aqui em France na internet. Merciiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Wow,I learnt a lot from watching this
The fact that his grandfather was born in Corleonne, hope I spelled it right, and then for Al to be cast in The Godfather as Michael Corleonne is not a coincidence. It is fate

This is gold 🥹🤌🎟️
Erik Baeza:Did Al Pacino tread the boards at the Phoenix Theatre in London England in Shakespeare Production?Great knowledge and articulate man. Thanks.Mac.2021.
Oh, Sonny Pacino, the Lover Bambino --now that I've seen that beautiful picture of your motherI now know where you get those beautiful Sicilian eyes (PS. It's no secret that your grandad hails from Corleone I've known it for over 30 yrs.)
18:03 and that´s why Brando admired Stella Adler 😁
James was an excellent interviewer.
I had a dog named Sunni that stole my heart; now you :)
I think a single moment in a movie that has so much power is when Michaels daughter gets shot in godfather 3.
The parallel of fearing to be replaced is to you know being replaced by an underling in the mafia are amazing I would imagine he would he used that only had that feeling all throughout the filming that must have carried him through to give him that edge of you know being a mafioso
Erik Baeza:Wow Helen Burstyn great lead and supporting actress and humane support in acting life to others!Did Lee Strasberg ever have a Actors Studio in London England? What happened there and to it?Was it around in 1980’s?Any info KZread? Thanks .Mac.🌈2021.Thanks.
Surprised at how many stars had stage parents😥
Ellen Burstyn, great actor as well!
Al Pacino gets an introductary response as if he's a great all-time Hollywood actor.........oh wait.
I'm still holding out hope to see Al and Dustin Hoffman onscreen together (Dick Tracy doesn't count).
I don't quite understand if pacino uses affective memory or not. He says no at first but then he says how useful it is. Does anybody know what I'm missing here ? 18:33
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
We need the de niro's interview
He must be a pretty good actor 😂😂
When it comes to bad English accents Pacino in The Local Stigmatic knocks Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins clean out of the park.
Dana carvey's Tony Montana egregiously egregiously hilarious
Can you imagine the studio actually considered Robert Redford for the role of Michael?

Robert Redford for that role, that is. Pacino defined and emblazoned it as his own forever. As the song goes, 'Nobody does it better."

We need to give the casting people and producers credit where credit is due. They've got the script, they're having it read at the audition. They can see it work or not work on the spot. That's why, and thank God, they get the big bucks.

Strange they´re not talking of Scarface. It´s his best performance ever.

@@HiiiRabbit206 oh sorry then. I´m italian and I think I missed that part:)
there are forever Hollywood stars for me and some actors and Al Pacino is the same as Meryl Streep.they get lost in their characters
