Could we have more behind the scenes stuff? It's really interesting, for example what the dancers like for classical v.s contemporary in their shoes?

I've never really paid attention to ballet, let alone their point shoes. But watching ur videos, I've realized how much I love and adore the whole process! U have completely opened up a door in my brain and heart that I didn't know existed! I love ur reaction videos. Cuz u tell me what they're doing and u give in depth definitions. Not just from a saleswoman/fitter pov. But from the pov of a dancer. Kudos to u! U have officially amazed me!! New forever fan and admirer ❤😊

As someone who doesn’t dance….. I never even thought about the teachers, and their shoes! I just kinda figured if they were the type who dances, they wore a dance shoe, but otherwise, I figured just a nonslip shoe. It’s cool the school provides their shoes too

I saw A Midsummer’s Night Dream at SF ballet on Sunday. I kept thinking of you and the shoes. Gorgeous dance! They did a spectacular job! Costumes were amazing!

Does the Corps get the same pointe shoe allowance as the Soloists/Principals? And what happens if they need more than 12 pairs in a month? I know the pros go through them like crazy.

I would love to know what are the most common customs that get ordered for the SF ballet pointe shoes, or if there are multiples of a certain type of shoe. also it would be cool to do a who darns and who doesnt, or who wears paddings and who doesnt.

How do we buy shoes from the SF Ballet?

I'm really curious what all the different models are that the different dancers wear. I know some companies require everyone to wear the same type of shoe so they are super uniformed, though of course they usually each get customizations, but it's really interesting if different dancers in the same company are in different brands. I would wonder how that works when different brands have different satin shades.

@ThePointeShop Do you guys know where I can get a 2V 2W Flexible-medium 41 Ruben Russian Pointe? Ive been looking everywhere and my teacher said they're probably discontinued 😭 Does Josephine have any recommendations for a similar shoe? Ive had 2 pairs of the size 41, two of size 42, a Capezio Phoenix, and a Suffix. The 41 Russians have been my all time absolute love shoe, and I cant find any that compare to it💔

Usually Professional dancers work with a company and they get their point shoes for free. Up to 12 per month btw.

flats probably but point shoes are expensive and dangerous to wear when someone isnt trained correctly
