Although am an Indian and love Osho ,I think that whatever bad that happened there was just because of sheela's over inflated ego. I feel sorry for her that she despite of living with Enlighten Master didn't get his message of love, Humility and Kindness.

The ‘Hollywood Goons’ were the primary driving force that fractured Rajneeshpuram driving it into disintegration. Sheela was fucking great at her job. Yes it inflated her ego yet when she was happy there were few conflicts, those that caused any systemic demise…which those idiots from California eventually created & caused

Osho was full aware of what Sheela did. Because it brought attention and that is what Osho wanted. He did not care for anything else. All he wanted is for his message to get worlwide. And he did it! Controversy attracts people, the rebelious ones, the ones that Osho thought are more inclined to start searching for meditation. Osho used those people. But also, those people used him as a God or an amulet for their own comfort and egos. The game was kind of fair.

What a smashing historical documentary. The whole debate is basically about land use on this planet. The land use and its development that we have been accustomed to is basically inconsiderate of ecological factors, human growth, animal welfare etc. The development of Rajneeshpuram should have been better supported by state government after all, these people were not impoverished hippies squatting on prime land - they were willing to pay their way and had interesting ideas for a new form of human settlement. Beats being nuked.

This is all developed due to the concentration shifted again from heart to mind. Man to society. To go into the heart to go in the world. What is wrong with the world unless wrong in the mind. Sit in your locality and go deep into your heart. No need for a seperate colony. This is like going to other planets for peace when the peace overflowing from within. The world is fine when the heart is joyful

Just imagine if you had your community and way of life encroached upon. They claimed to want to live in harmony but didn't take any effort to make harmony with the people who were already in that region...then they started terrorizing the community! Then they brought homeless people from all over the country and when they couldn't control their addictions and mental illness they just kicked them out into the surrounding community to deal with. Not one apology to those people in Oregon. How appallling!

Idk it seems like they moved in next door and immediately were hounded by their so-called Christian neighbours from day one. Their hotel got BOMBED by those so-called Christian neighbours. Now tell me how most Americans would respond to such terror attacks. I'm a pacifist but it's a bit hypocritical to call them out for defending themselves if you're not - apart from Sheela they were way more restrained than most Americans would be. They didn't bomb any hotel. It's also hypocritical to call them out for not being able to deal with the homeless people (actually a lot of the homeless people did stay and were helped) but if American society was any better, how come those homeless people were homeless in the first place? No love shown to them from anyone else.

This Sheela is a very disturbing and aggressive person. She shed such a shadow on the OSHO movement. OSHO was awesome!

I love Osho, but damn Sheela and his flock of laughing hyenas in that hall meeting are not doing any favors for the claims that the Osho commune was not a cult lol. Text book cult behaviour from these people and their selfish takeover of the town without any regard for the locals.
